It's been a pretty good last couple days. Tue night I went to game night with Matt. That was a lot of fun. We joined a bunch of other international students and played 'Activity'. It's a word game. A player from a team has to draw a card. On the card are a bunch of compound words, the player then has to describe the word, do sharades or draw (depending on what space they're on on the board) and get their teammates to guess the word before the time runs out. It was kinda hard to play, since all of our German was at different levels and sometimes the vocabulary just wasn't there. It was sooo much fun though=)
Not much exciting to say about yesterday. In the afternoon, I was going to play piano (there is a piano that we can play in the 1st building of my apartment complex but it's only available during certain times). On my way there I ran into two guys from Utah. They're here for the year through their church proselytizing. That was kinda random. They were both very nice We ended up talking for about an hour (mostly about Germany). By the time we were done talking it was too late to play piano. Oh well, I'm gonna try to play tomorrow. Late afternoon Matt and I joined Katrin in town and we had ice cream... yummy =) I'll get a picture up as soon as I can of our ice cream. The presentation looked so good, you almost don't want to eat the ice cream (but the ice cream's too delicious not to. hehe)
Today has been kind of a kick back day. My German class is still pretty easy, but it's fun. This afternoon we have off which is really nice cause the weather is absolutely gorgeous. It's probably in the mid to upper 70s here right now! So odd for Germany this time of year. And, there hasn't been any rain since I've arrived in Trier. A full week of sun is also really wierd. It's so nice to be out and here around campus there are a lot of trails to go walking along. Quite nice.
Had a little trouble finding a computer today. There's construction all over campus and the main entrance to the library is closed today. Luckily when I got to where the entrance normally is, another student got there too, so I just followed her to the other entrance (I didn't know where another one was). Finding your way around buildings here is very confusing and even more confusing with all the construction. So, I finally made it into the library but had no idea how to get to the part where the computers are. (came to find out, that part of the library is closed today). One of the librarians then had to tell me how to get to this room. I ended up finding it by luck. (especially since the door that says PC room on it was locked)... gotta love not knowing your way around sometimes.
Tonight my group is meeting down at the Porta Negra (in the middle of town) and we're going on a bar tour. That should be fun. Get to know the good places to hang out on the weekends. =) It should be a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll have some good pictures to add from tonight. Tomorrow I enroll for my courses. =) Kinda excited. Trying to find the course listings online is very very confusing though. So far I've not had any luck. I think I'm just gonna have to go buy the book that has them all listed. I'm gonna take off now. Take Care! Ciao!!
