Pretty Schloss
Don't ask me anything about it. It is old. And pretty. "You are what you eat" - Gosh im clever!
Well, not much to talk about. I am getting up every morning and going to class, studying most of the afternoon, and coming home to go to sleep. I realized last week, stupid me, that I will have to be doing my Case Interviews for Consulting positions IN GERMAN!!! ahh...so I ordered a very complicated tips book auf deutsch so I can learn some better vocabulary. But wish me luck. I got through 4 pages in 2 hrs yesterday....
I found out for Hamburg I am going to be living in a W.G. (Wohnheimgemeinschaft) - bascially its a "shared apartment". All I know is that I will be living with a girl that is a student at the University of Hamburg, I am sure that I will have other rommies. The apartment is in a great part of town, where all the students live. I am really looking forward to it.
I will be attending the Helmut Schmidt Universitaet, Bundeswehr Universitaet, for the fall. Lets pause for a moment here so I can explain to you that the term "Bundewehr" means "German Army". Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am
Trees
Cool picture outside the schloss. i have lots of these. I will post them on picasa. going to be attending the German Army University in Hamburg. Not that im complaining. I'll probably be the only girl in the whole place. :-) It is open to all students though, and you dont HAVE to be in the Army, right....I am under the impression that this is a Trimester University, so im sure January will be a little dull when im between university and internship.
Last weekend, I had a nice time hanging around Cologne. The international party on Friday night was a lot of fun, and of course i drank way too much of this lovely beer called Koelsch. I am going to miss this local specialty when I move to Hamburg. So good.
Saturday, I went to the zoo for the afternoon, and then went to see a French Movie dubbed in German at the outdoor theatre with my host and her friend. I really enjoyed the movie, even though I couldn't understand everything. The star was the girl that was in Amile. I was exhausted and went promptly to sleep afterwards.
Sunday, I went to Bruehl, a small town oudside of Cologne to see the Schloss (palace) It was beauitful. I will
Ice
Ice Cream here is AWESOME. It always comes out JUST like the picture looks. attach a picture. The tour was in German, so im not sure I can tell you a whole lot about the place. But it was nice. I met my friends at Taco Loco on the way home and had some tasty tacos. Im pretty sure anything would have tasted good at that point, i was STARVING, but i'll have to give them another try, they receive the grade of B.
And here it continues to rain and rain and rain and rain. I think I have this gift, to bring this awful weather with me everywhere. I am trying to conquer my first cold and had an adventure at the Drogerie trying to figure out which kind of Vitamin C to buy and then how i was supposted to take said Vitamin C.
I am attaching some photos of some random foods ive been eating for you all to enjoy. Hence my title. :-) Yes, random. I dont have any brautwurst or doener pictures yet, which is odd because its probably what i eat the most. But those are soon to come. :-)
Bis Spaeter!
Tschussi!
