Hallo from your favorite beps! We are settling nicely into our neighborhood. We now know how to manage our surroundings a bit more and it's starting to feel like home. We also have taken the trains more frequently and ventured out. The day before yesterday we went to Alexanderplatz and visited the famous TV tower there. It's a major tourist attraction so we fit in perfectly amongst all of the camera toting foreigners lol. There was a long line to go up to the top of the tower so we decided to come back in the middle of the week and try our luck then. After walking around, we found a cozy little bar nearby and had a drink. We keep reading on tripadvisor that 90% of Berlin accepts mastercard, but when we ask the response is always "no." This isn't really a huge problem but kind of a let down. Regardless, cash is accepted everywhere 😉

We finished our day with dinner, drinks, and a game of German FIFA Monopoly at home. I am proud to report that I won and Jess was left without money or property. What is it about winning a round of Monopoly that makes
you feel guilty? Anyway, yesterday we went to the Berlin wall! Specifically, the East Side Gallery. This is the longest section of the Berlin wall that is still standing and it is currently being used as an outdoor art gallery. It was incredible. Walking along the wall also brings its own treats as we discovered a little mini outdoor nightclub/beach bar/restaurant area known as YAAM (google it, it's amazing). It's listed as a "young African art market" and I suppose that's accurate. Inside, there are brightly painted basketball courts, a cafeteria style african restaurant, and the tiniest of bars called Cool Runnings Bar. As children of the 90's, we were both very excited to see this and popped in for a drink. Needless to say, we will definitely be going back as the weekend parties go until 7am! All of this within a short train ride away. We are currently planning a trip to Hamburg sometime next week. Very exciting. As always, we will keep you up to date on our adventures and we hope you all have a marvelous day!

Prost,
