Berlin - Germany Ohhhhhh I have a new love! Berlin 😊
Move over London and NZ, Berlin is the suavest city I've ever been to.
I so wish I had more time to enjoy the place, I feel so rushed through. Although, Billie, Mum and I agreed last night that when Billz finishes uni and gets her placement we're coming back, woohoo. So for the purpose of ensuring my return, I've left much to return to. Brilliant plan.
Today I started early with a freezing walking tour exploring the places commonly linked to the Third Reich. We visited places like the Reichstag, where the chancellery building stood, the Jewish memorial and Hitler's bunker. Our tour guide was amazing and had such a wealth of knowledge on the subject that I was madly envious of her. She's a student/lecturer at the university here in Berlin.
After this, we headed to the famous chocolate shop 'Retter Sport' where you could make your own yummy chocolate. We also checked out a few funky shops along the main esplanade (very expensive... Bentley anyone?). The German National Museum was the next stop, where we hot to see the controversial Hitler and the Nazis exhibition that was

Berlin - Germany thankfully extended for another couple of weeks. It was a crazy but extremely informative experience, we even saw a swastika christmas tree star. Weird.
After this we headed to the Amplemann store and I oggled at all the things I wanted to buy but couldn't afford. Ella and I bought a delicious German sausage as we wandered around Alexanderplatz. Just about to head out for a famous Berlin kebab. Yum!
Amsterdam tomorrow xx Lex
