We spent 6 days here in Berlin and loved it. It is such a clean city, absolutely no rubbish anywhere. Our first day we spent just walking around and we were staying on Kurfurstandamm - which is the most famous shopping avenue in Berlin. We ended up finding a park that had a lake and a big open air cafe that you can hire boats to row on. We found it after getting lost for an hour and half.

We went to Sucshanhuen concentration camp which was really distrubing. another day we spent down in Potsdam which was beautiful to walk around - cobble streets. We did a walking tour that took us around the sites like Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, and Berlin Dome.

The story behind how the Berlin wall came down is fascinating - long story short - the guy in charged missed a conference and then when he did a press conference they asked him questions and he couldnt answer so he half made it up on the spot.
