East Side Gallery of the Berlin Wall, one of the longest remaining stretches of the wall
It was good news this morning, we were leaving this disgusting campsite in Prague and heading back into Germany toward the famous city of Berlin. After breakfast we all helped pack the van and were on our way. Our first stop was a city called Dresden, a city which was completely destroyed at the end of World War II then rebuilt from the ground up. We had a very quick look around some of the breathtaking gothic architecture then had free time to get some lunch. We found a McDonald’s and nearly the entire group headed straight for it. After we had eaten our time was up, we had to head back to the bus in a hurry and continue onto Berlin. After a long drive we eventually made it into the city of Berlin. We were dropped off at one of the largest remaining stretches of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery which stretched for 1.3km. The wall was completely covered in graffiti from artists who came to Berlin from all over the world to express their thoughts on the fall of the Berlin Wall. This made is the largest open air gallery in the world.

We spent

a bit of time walking along the wall checking out all the graffiti artists work, then had a quick look in the souvenir shop before it was time to meet Billy in the bus. We headed off towards the campsite which was a big improvement on Prague and setup our tents. We were told that there were plenty of laundry facilities but we could only use them after 8PM, finally some good news. Some of us helped Gavo with dinner which again was fantastic then we got the run through what was happening on our free day tomorrow. After dinner some of us headed down to the laundry room 30min earlier since the entire group planned to do washing, we wanted to get their early. For what ever reason this made the owner very angry so he closed it early and would not let us use it at all, I was pissed. Jamie came up and had a go at the girls because he couldn’t do his washing and that’s when I had enough. I gave it straight back to him and told him where to go because he was full of empty promises and lies, it was because of

him and him only that none of us had done washing in almost 2 weeks. It was from now that a lot of group were simply fed up of our tour leader. For the remainder of the night we had a few drinks before going to bed quite late that night.
