We have arrived in Paris! After looking for many hours for a place to stay on our last night in Sevilla, we settled on a Best Western hotel that ended up being less than half the price that the hostels we were finding were asking for! Sasha is still ill to a degree, mostly just coughing a lot, but she's managed through the past few days. After transferring from Paris Beauvis to the city centre (an hour+ coach ride), we ended up wandering around for almost another hour just trying to find the street we needed. We finally decided to just hail a cab, where the driver then proceeded to tell us that our hotel wasn't that far. When I first came across the pond, I was immediately struck by the strange newness of this place. It was a major European city, and somehow, I had always imagined it to look like New York, except older. I couldn't believe it looked the way it did on a large scale. When I began to live with my first family here, I realized that the differences in everyday life here run much, much deeper than that first initial impression I got of the city. The way they bathe, dress, eat, and live is so completely different that I felt the need to share them with others. ZEHR EVERYWHERE!!!! So I live in St.-Cloud now. I've also been rechristened as "Sika" (rhymes with Pika, as in Pikachu), said properly with snot running from two nostrils and a mouth full of chocolate chips. I live in a family full of beautiful people. Olivia and her husband are absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful. Their kids are gorgeous: the oldest is elfin with fine features and slanted eyes, while the smallest is a blondie with a curly-headed halo and dimples you could eat cereal in. Olivia's husband could model for GQ, and she herself defies science, for I can not for the LIFE of me understand how one can have birthed two children and yet have zero fat on those slender hips and perfect abs.
