Set off at a leisurely pace again today as we’re in holiday chill mode. We went first of all to the ferry terminal in Quiberon centre and booked return tickets for tomorrow for 2 adults and a scooter to visit Belle Ile en Mer. Back on the scooter we rode along the Cote Sauvage, the western side of the peninsula. We stopped for coffee at Le Vivier, which we’ve walked to before from the aire a kilometre further along, and walked across the rocky outcrop, as everyone else was doing, just because it is there and because we could. We had planned quite a long driving day today to get us down through Normandy to Fougères. This was plan B as original Plan A was Rennes but we had ditched that because we’ve done Rennes before but had forgotten. Last night it rained and rained and everywhere was pretty soaked but by the time we got up it had cleared up and blue sky was trying to break through. We were packed up and ready to leave by 9am, campsite was already paid so we set off in the general direction of South. Bob had spent quite a while the night before planning a non-motorway route.
