The last part of Sweden was spent driving down the motorway in constant rain. Crossed over a massive bridge to get into Denmark. After a bit of trouble getting parked in Copenhagen we succeeded due to Moe's amazing parking skills. Wandered around the central area stopping for a quick lunch at a noodle bar. Train ride from Aarhus to Slagelse took 2.5 hours. We travelled south from Aarhus to Fredericia and then crossed the bridge to Fyn, island between Jutland and Zealand. Across Fyn then over the "Lillebaeltsbro" (bridge) to the town of Slagelse on Zealand. There we were met by my cousin Lene and her husband Leif. Lene and Leif live in a housing complex and within that estate are several community houses which are available for the residents to use for parties, family gatherings etc for very little cost - what a good idea! Lene's house has 2 bedrooms and since they had their son, daughter in law and granddaughter also coming to visit there wasn't enough room for everyone. 0601 Zondag – Roskilde – 0km Met de fiets naar Roskilde stad. Volgens de boekskes de 1ste hoofdstad van Denemarken. Alle koningen van Denemarken worden in de Domkirke begraven. Er zouden er al 39 liggen. Met hun koninginnen en nog wat aanhang. Je kan er bijna geen stap zetten of je loopt over zo een historische grafsteen. Deze bakstenen kathedraal gebouwd in 1170 staat met zijn koningsgraven op de Unesco Wereld Erfgoedlijst. Iemand van het pajottenland noemde de kerk van Pamel zeker even mooi. Maar dat is misschien wat overdreven. Het Vikinge-skib muzeum is wel enig. Men kan er de 5 opgegraven viking schepen bezoeken die 1000 jaar op de zeebodem lagen en na speciale behandling van het opgegraven houtwerk gerestaureerd in een speciaal gebouw werden zijn ondergebracht. 0530 Vrijdag – Faro– 68km N54 57 02 E011 58 60 Wij zijn in het land van' Borgen' . Kijken uit naar Katrine, Kasper, Birgit, en anderen. Ook naar die van de Killing, Millenium en Wallander. Nog niemand gezien. Blijven toch volhouden. Vandaag al een snipperdag. Deze voormiddag de ferry van Puttgarden naar Rodby. Ging vlot. 112 Euro voor 40 km. We zijn gestopt voor de middag op een MH plaats langs de E47 op een eilandje in een fjord tussen 2 enorme bruggen. Prachtige plaats aan de Oostzee. Zon, spijtig veel wind. Ideaal voor kitesurfers. We besloten er te blijven tot morgen. Kan ondertussen mijn verkoudheid wat soigneren. Opgelopen op verkiezingsdag. Dat komt ervan met al dat volk.... read more

Before the wedding we went on a boat to a little island. On the island there are wild boars. After that we got dressed and went to the wedding. I was a bridesmaid for my auntie. My brother was a pageboy. The thing that really embarresed me and my brother was that he dropped the pillow whiis holds the ring. We stayed up really late.... read more
