Little behind on the BLOG, we know... but figured it would take this long for anyone actually trying to read every word of it. (Thanks again to those of you who do, and yes, we understand that a lot of you are handling this BLOG the same way we all got through grade-school... look at the pics, read the captions and make up your own story. We still appreciate your interest!)
København, Denmark ...an exhaustingly exiting weekend of site-seeing and such.
So, after a grueling bus/ferry combo through the night we kicked off our adventure on Saturday as we pulled into town around 5:00 in the morning; walking, napping, sailing, walking, drinking, listening, walking, riding, swinging, walking, eating our way through Copenhagen and sleeping (in shifts) on the bus-ride back, Sunday at midnight.
Highlights:
- 5:00AM complimentary 'early check-in'
- Getting SOAKED on a harbor-boat trip
- Stumbling into a Free Jazz & X-mas Ale tasting Festival!
- Changing of the Guards
- Every single Quay, Channel, Bay, Harbor
- Freezin' our butts off at the ICE BAR
- Christmas decorations & lights
- Tivoli Gardens! - 260+feet swing carousels & so much more
Non-Highlights:
Midnight buses
that start and stop every 30-mins including a 50-min intermission of hopscotch, groggily bouncing between the bus and a ferry and back... Hats off to Ali for making it through this "Nothin' but Fumes" weekend. And sorry to work... definitely worthless on Monday!
