Well guys, for the last 20 something days I have found and enjoyed a steady lifestyle for the first time in a while. I have been working (unofficially of course) for the green lizard hostel where in exchange for around 3 hours of work I get free accom. and free beer (the beer is an amazing local beer too called Karlovacko). More than a fair trade I believe! So a typical day for me over the last few weeks involved getting out of bed at around 10 45 to start work at 10 30........Work involved cleaning up the dorm rooms and bathrooms, pretty light work compared to the farm. Id finish work at around 12 30 and usually have lunch followed by a snooze, then it was time for the beach (or what they call a beach, which consists either of large pebbles or swimming off rocks). At the beach some would sun bake, some would swim, and the more adventurous would find something to jump off. After the beach we would head either back to the hostel for dinner and drinks or head to the hula hula bar which was right on the waters edge for drinks before dinner. Usually

it was a home cooked dinner at the hostel that was rarely very healthy. After dinner everyone at the hostel would congregate on the patio (that overlooks the water and islands) and share drinks and stories. Come 10 30 I would clock back on for work and tidy the kitchen and patio and kick everyone off the patio at 11 00 (all this was usually done with a beer in hand). When everyone had left I would clock off again and head to the beach where everyone congregates for half an hour or so before venturing towards the towns nightlife.....Then it would be morning and it would all start again. The lifestyle was absolutely amazing but towards the end it got a bit tiring because it was difficult to manage a quiet night in. Day time activities varied greatly during this time also, some days I would be sick of the sun and just hang where ever the sun wasn't, Other days we would feel more adventurous and hire boats, scooters or do some fitness activities.
