We are heading off to Central America for six weeks in January and February. We fly to Guatemala City and fly back from San Jose Costa Rica. We are looking forward to seeing Antigua, Lake Atilian, and Tikal in the Guatemala, Copan in Honduras, Granada and Lake Ometope in Nicaragua, and Monteverde, Arenal, and Tortuguero in Costa Rica. We should be able to see lots of Mayan ruins and culture, rain forests, cloud forests, active volcanos (don't forget the marshmallows!) wildlife, with a little Spanish thrown in. We will be providing periodic updates on this blog.
