Hi all,

we spent a nice 4 days in the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain, relaxing and watching cricket (on TV this time, sadly!)

It was stinking hot so we mostly sought refuge in our lovely aircon'd room at our BnB or in a bar, limin' with the locals, talking up the Aussies!

However, in the cool of the evening, after we dragged ourselves away from the divine splash pool in the landscaped gardens of the guest house, we managed a few walks around the more wealthy suburbs of POS. (There are lots of places that tourists are told to stay away from - most locals avoid some of the areas as well!!)

The park is ringed by a wide and well kept walking track and as we made our way around it, we felt that we were at home, walking around Princes Park!! Everyone came in lots of different shapes, colours, and sizes and to a man,

all said hello and gave us a big smile!

It was wonderful to see so many people getting fit and taking care of their bodies. More importantly, it was awesome to have everyone be so friendly to us!

We sat and watched this modified rugby match between "skins" and "shirts" with open admiration of the techicolour nature of Trinidad. There was literally every colour skin known to man represented on these two teams. Sport is truly the great equaliser.
