I am entering my first blog. I participated in a US Military Humanitarian Mission to Honduras in 2005. It was a great trip. Myself, along with other military dentists and supporting staff went to Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras, to provide much needed dental care to some of the poorest children in Honduras. We spent 2 weeks working on children from an inner city school in Tegucigalpa. Honduras is a beautiful country with a huge socioeconomic divide. The majority live in impovrished conditions. The majority of our time was spent, at a private catholic dental school in Tegucigalpa, working on kids ranging in age from 4-12. The trip was very rewarding and eye opening.
