Bueno Dias compardres. Yesterday I had orientation, no classes. I met all the other students that are going to be here for the 6 weeks, there are 10 of us. 6 of them are from geneseo, all my age, there is one old lady from las vegas, and another middle aged woman from columbus ohio and a girl from SUNY new paltz.
So far the showers i´ve taken every morning have been extremely cold. Lets just say that afterwards I did not have cajones grandes. There´s only a minimum amount of water here in san Jose, so the cold water was an excellent incentive to shower quickly and conserve water. Also, my bedroom seems to have a permenant smell of 409 and bleach but i´m warming up to it. I took a picture of my bed so I can show you how not great it is. theres a huge sagging divot where my ass goes so its not exactly splendid but I´ve slept surprisingly well so far. THe weather has been on and off, the first weekend it was hot and humid, but yesterday it cooled off and rained all evening. I guess it rains every evening more or less.
The parrot that oscar has is visious. I almost lost a finger today when i stuck it in the cage. Muy brava as they say in spanish.
Oscar i´m pretty sure sells big trucks, like tractor trailors and other big machinery and Kattia is a student studying psychology.
I showed them all my photos and they loved them. Oscar and Andres got a big kick out of Wesley in one of the pictures doing the West Coast sign with his hand. They were all doing it for the next hour.
Apparently, my 40 dollar new balances are a big deal here... new balances cost 3 times as much as nikes here, so i feel uncomfortable wearing them around, because everyone is always starring at my feet, its weird.
Made photocopies of my passport today and went with andres to pay their electric bill. tomorrow andres is gonna give me some reggae dancing lessons lol. Not to much else to report, i have my first classes in a couple hours... so thats about it.
talk to you all later... feel free to leave comments, i need something to do in the morning before class. hasta luego.

youre lucky its only the new balances man. theyll cut ya. and by theyll i mean them and by them i mean a gross generalization of the people(s) of central america. see? the parrot was just the start - its intrinsic to that part of the world. every corner you turn, every place you visit, every delicious tasting sandwhich you eat...they could be your last shitty rooms are the worst, espcially hotels. odds are there have been several murders, all drug related, within your room. the bed...(ahem)...is what one might call "less desirable." youre probablly also sleepin in some serious seamen and those navy boys have scurvy. big time. im talkin burn when you pee big time. the ass groove is the least of your worries uh yeah...these people youre with...youre probably gonna want to avoid the whole "getting tidick" story around them. unless like, theyre really drunk. cause man, if people dont enjoy the antics in that story - awkward. personally; hilarious. i nailed the pitchers mound good luck with the classes. dont be the guy who wears sandals and argile socks. get some sun, but not too much, i hear cancer turns out to be work. im sure youll find cool shit to do and enterain everyone youre with. take er easy ps i hope this "blog response" has served your entertainment for the morning, or at least like the first shit of the day. you know, somethin to read thats not too much work or stupid or anything but its just randomly interesting, like the word "kangaroo" is aborigine meaning "i dont know what youre talking about." Sir Joeph Banks of great britian was exploring the outback when he saw them jumpin around and shit, and when he got back to camp he asked a native, and that was his respone. sweet
