“Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take her to Bermuda, Bahamas, come on pretty mama…”

We decided to get off the ship in a group today; Crystal, Gemma, Lisa, Fabrice, Jennie, Fernanda and myself. After some haggling we got on a mini bus which was going to take us around the island and show us some sights. I took some photos as we drove through the town, and we headed to the rock formation which Aruba is famous for. It was very cool, and the souvenir shop had this gorgeous donkey out the back. He he. I patted it! I bought a really nice photo book of Aruba which shows some beautiful beach views. It is so nice there. The water is crystal clear and the sand is really white.

Aruba had some lovely buildings, along with old little huts. The main street is really nice and has some good shops and restaurants. Everything was very colourful. We also drove to a church which looked over some of the island. It was a catholic church; very small, wooden seats, nice altar and seating outside as well. The next stop was the beach. Aruba is also famous for the leaning tree on their ‘Palm Beach’. It is stunning and was the perfect opportunity for some nice photos. We had a cool group photo under the tree which was nice. Lisa wanted to go for a swim but no one else was very willing. I did get my feet wet though, which made my thongs really uncomfortable to wear! Hah! I was seated next to Fabrice on the bus which was nice.

Another stop on our Arubian journey was the lighthouse which looked over Palm Beach. There was this massive Iguana wandering around which was cool; an amazing creature and very friendly. They like to eat bugs and vegetation thank goodness.

After our tour, Crystal, Jennie, Fabrice and I went for lunch at Iguana Joe’s where I had some chicken and Crystal had her usual burger (she’s obsessed!). It was quite nice and we discussed a whole lot of interesting stuff! I then did my little souvenir shop with Fabrice, and we soon headed back to the ship to start work!!! It was a gorgeous port and would be nice to stay there and just go to the beach every day. One day!!!

Cya!!
