Today Today, I drank a pepsi in the Sistene Chapel. Under the painting of God touching someone (Adam). Today I got kicked off a bus in Rome, nearly fined 100 Euros and had the Italian Police called (for more extortion). Today (this morning) I rode a night train 8 hours (for free) awfully snug to 3 freezing Bangledeshi men. (Without arrest or fine, as opposed to the Italian bus I paid for...) Today I woke up to a freezing (and menacing) man watching me sleep outside of my cabin. Today I split a fine 2 Euro bottle of wine to kick [View Full Entry]

The Most Dangerous Game Gone are the days of fine dining, definative lodging and meticulous planning. Two men have made it past the first round, they've passed go, (and were awarded some bonus money, thanks don and john!) The Rules Spend less money on each day then was previously spent on food for the first round Survive and potentially thrive on the coastal regions of Europe and Northern Africa Bonus points for unintentionally contracted random rashes and mysterious illnesses (so if someone has pinkeye and say you try to steal it into your eye that [View Full Entry]

The Charge...
The Lick...
The Escape-

The name of that famous disneyland ride..? Halfway across the world at a swank concert hall I consumed a chupa chup (sucker), dawned in the usual attire- odipherous, monochromatic and wildly formal shorts and a 't'. This concert, a crème de la crème of Mozart's works (by grossly authentic garbed players+whigs) didn't move me to tears, or standing ovation like so many in the crowd. I was however surprised when perusing the crowd to recognize where the whigs came from. Oh and one of my friends from WWU just happened to be attending the concert. Yes it is the matterhorn afterall.... [View Full Entry]

Salzburg Europe » Austria » Salzburg State » Salzburg
Mozart truly had it made (minus dying from an std in his 30's)...Salzburg is a rad city and my favorite thus far. My initial intrigue with the narrow streets of Europe has worn off, and I feel a bit as if I had come to America and taken pictures of the freeways. The streets really are narrow! I think we're averaging two ice cream cones a day, (Sam and I in preparation for latter half of the trip) Europe is expensive. In that sense it is a nice compliment to Asia, both in the pocket book and digestive tract. [View Full Entry]

Munchen Europe » Germany » Bavaria » Munich
This is admittedly a retrospective blog. One thing that still confuses me (even in retrospect, of like five days) is why we amercanize all the names of the worlds cities, and the favor is not returned in kind? I mean, we take a somewhat mundane name such as Wien- and make it Vienna, a cultural and artistic hub on the world. Munchen, which totally sounds like a lazy verb, becomes 'Munich' concise and perchance regal--- Next stop Salzburg (which we left untranslated- it means land of salt) It is the home of Mozart, an unfortunately ugly man with a beautiful mind [View Full Entry]
