went to El Bolson to do a little hiking. El Bolson is a nice quiet place with nice hiking in the area. one of the nice things about Argentina is that there are refugios where you can sleep and buy food and drinks. therefore, you don't have to lug around camping equipment, cooking supplies, food .... Just take a nice hike in the woods and your bed will be ready for you when you get there. i ran into Lynne, hope the spelling is right, from California at the refugio the first night. Took an overnight bus from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, somewhere around the 15th of April. Don´t remember for sure. anyway, i wanted to head south before winter set in. Bariloche is a great place, many parks in the area, great lakes and good hiking. but before i get to that, i want to talk about the bus ride. we are talking luxury, first class. full leather seats-beds, they fold into a flat bed. there was an attendant on board and he served meals, wine, whiskey and champagne!!! nice [View Full Entry]

HMMM, this may be hard. I am going to try to go back 8 years (or is it 9 years?) and put together a blog for my travels since then. I realize now that I have been on sort of an eight (or nine?) year "journey" since I haven't lived anywhere longer than 6 months since the Spring of 1997. Has it really been that long???
