Packing for Tunisia? Take a black wig just in case!!! I am not kidding... when I was a kid I had red-blonde hair. Obviously there are not that many people with red-blond hair anyway (not talking about our Scotish friends ;))...and in Tunisia the number of people having or having seen red-blonde hair might just be near zero. All thar resulted in Tunisian people touching my head when I was passing them thinking my hair was made of gold and one man even bidding 1000 camels in trade for me...glad my parents didn't agree. Just THAT one "hairy" fact gives us [View Full Entry]

Pisa - Verona Europe » Italy » Tuscany » Pisa
Ok lets face it...Pisa is a boring place! Once you've seen the tower, you've seen everything! Surrounded by LOTS of tourists and of course tourist stalls that only sell stuff you definitely WON'T need, I am not even sure you want to see that. Ok... a walk along the river ain't that bad, but if you have to decide how much time to spend in Pisa and at other places as f.e. Verona there is no way you wanna spend one more second in Pisa! So please do yourself a favour and delete Pisa from your travel plan and add "more [View Full Entry]

Amsterdam is a dirt city! And I don't mean that like Red-Light-District-nasty-dirty (allthought you might have to deal with "offers" from both hookers and hash-sellers, but whom, who goes to Amsterdam, does not know that ;)). No! I mean: The streets are really not-clean! Everywhere people leave there trash from fast food-stores and such. Besided that Amsterdam is a really cool city for shopping! Those who are more tourists than fashion victims can take a look at the Wax Figure cabinet (it's Madame Tussaud!), which is just at the corner next to the market place or take a boat trip along [View Full Entry]

Being in 6th Grade I had to decide if I wanted to be part of a School exchange to Eastbourne, England or not. I myself decided yes, my parents agreed. First of all you have to be sure of one thing: Being on a School exchange does not mean holiday. In fact you have to live the life of an english pupil 24-7! Or in my case 24-14! I had to spend 14 days in a bording school with some of my class mates from Germany. The school was placed right besides the cliffs and the sea. Eastbourne is a city [View Full Entry]

When I was a child my parents took me and my sister almost every year on a trip to Hungary. That meant: Packing the car and driving for around 24 hours (I think) to a place (whatsoever, wheresoever. you will find one!) near the Balaton lake. Maybe you don't even have to drive a car in days of cheap airlines and such, but I can tell you: The freedom you have if taking a car is just nice. Ok...so every year we just got in the car and drove to a place that looked nice, stopped and well... we found a [View Full Entry]
