Mary and I are going on a trip to Thialand and are using this to document our trip. I will be the blogger for us, I am a 25 year old who, as most people visiting this site I love to travel. I lived in Indonesia for 3 years about 10 years ago I have been to Japan, Singapore, Hawii (I love the beaches) most states in the US, and other places, and have many more places on my list to go. I have begun my count down on my trip soon to come to Thailand, where my dad lives, in just 1 day we leave. This is the first time that I have ever blogged in my life but I think it is great how people share their trips on here and thought maybe I can entertain some one or at least provide some info to people who will travel to places I have been! Mary is (we wont tell) middle aged, but has the spirit of a 20 yr old, loves to travel, has been to many many places. Most recently she visited India and south America. Im sure she will be very entertained by this blogging process.

OK so Im not sure I will get the pics up till tomorrow but I will tell you that we drove about 2 and a half hours to get to satahip on the eastern side of the gulf of Thailand. we took the highway, which was relativley painless and we hit a little trafic in Pattya about 8 mi from satahip, and then we drove past this elephant riding place, which was cool but the elephants didnt look like they wanted to be ridden all day and I felt really bad for them. I have to add that one of the really weird things about the roads is that even on the highway there are u turns and that is nessisary some times. But sometimes there isnt a u turn for like 15 mi. so that ... read more

So I will do a little back tracking before I fill in the last two days. We left NY on......Im really not sure because I m not even sure what today is, what is vacation fo though lol. We left 2 hours late and made up some time in the air, but they did not hold out Beijing connection for us so the airline put us up in a hotel and we got a day there. This really worked out great because we were planning on hitting the wall on our return when we had a 6 hour layover, but a week before we left Mary was notified that we may not have enogh time. So every thing worked out good. The Great Wall was so amazing. It was an indescribable experience getting there and being ... read more

Well this will be a quick one, I'm sooooo tired it is about 9:15pm here and we have had a long day. I will give you the short hand of what has been going on with us. Yesterday we left Lam Luka (dad's) at about 11, I got sick and pucked in the public restroom, we got to Hua Hin at about 3 went to the beach, swam had pina coladas in coconuts, went out to eat at a bbq place, which is just what I needed after the stomach upset. We met some of dads friend who are great with some great stories, both of whom have lived in thailand for over 20 years and have been global for a long as they can remeber. Then we came home and went to bed. Mary woke ... read more

Asia » Thailand » Central Thailand » Bangkok March 1st 2010

We arrived in Bangkok a day late and added a day to china. we missed our connecting flight because of snow in NY before we left. But that meant that we were able to spend a long time at the great wall. that was amazing but we will have to write about that in another blog. We arrived in Bangkok at around midnight on the 26th and we got to my dads where his wife had a feast waiting for us, which was good because we were on a weird eating schedule. We had fried rice cow pat moo, tons of fresh fruit tom yum, which was great. it is a soup, a hot soup with shrimp- delicious!! disclaimer: the spelling of thai food is of course phonetical. Mary and i woke up on sunday morning ... read more
