Irony of Fate Dear Hanoi Girl,
Yes, you are absolutely right! Having been to Hanoi and the Hoan Kiem Lake, it is farthest from my thoughts that the Statue of Liberty could stand on top of the Tortoise Pagoda.
Notwithstanding the early presence of this iconic American statue in Vietnamese soil the world power never succeeded in colonizing your country, ironical isn't it?
Again, you did an excellent job in bringing tiny bits and pieces of history in your latest blog. This is the first time I came to know that trams used to ply along the streets of Hanoi. Also, it's to see that the Flag Tower, Old Quarter and the Central Post Office remain intact through the years.
Thanks a lot for sharing those beautiful photos and wealth of information.
Your avid fan,
Frankie

An opportune time Hanoi Girl,
There is truly an opportune time for everything. Perhaps you made it to Bangladesh in time for the Holy Month of Ramadan to gain some insights on how Muslims live during their season of fasting. By the way, you look great in that casual attire. This is the first time I see you not wearing Ao-Dai. First I fell in love with Vietnam, then after reading your thoughts and travel experiences I fell in love with your blogs. You are a prolific writer who have captured the cadence of the English language. I see beauty in form and in substance not only in all your blogs but as well as in your person. Indeed, you are beautiful inside and out. After reading most of your blogs I discovered that there are so many things we have in common. we share the same passion for travel, people, places and events. With all honesty I find you a very interesting person and I am now your biggest fan. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you in my future trips to Vietnam. Sincerely, Frankie
Bangkok floating market Thanks for many photos that are very interesting. I enjoyed visiting to buy Mangosteen that is my most favorite fruit in this world. I barely find it in Japan. Even if I could meet the queen of fruits , the price is 100 times expensive ! Anyone who knows the reason?
Nice travel story Hi,
Very interesting story about your travel. Keep up with your travel and tour interest. U should also travel to Bhutan. Bhutan is really beautiful and I am sure you will like it. Get in touch with me.
Cheers

Congratulations! Dear TheRedRiver,
I was sad to read your earlier blog regarding trip cancellation due to illness. As a frequent traveler like you, I know how difficult it is to call off a trip after months of planning not to mention the heavy investment on airfares, visa, and hotel reservations which will turn out to be losses. Anyhow, when I read your blog today, I am so happy that you finally made it to Bangladesh and for this reason you deserve no less than my sincere congratulations!
By the way, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the interesting blogs and tips you have written about Vietnam. The wealth of information given in your numerous blogs made it easier for me to plan my trips to your country. Since my first solo travel in May 2008 I have already made four trips to Vietnam together with my nephew and three nieces. I can relate to your experience of traveling alone, hence, I make it a point to travel with family members.
Moreover, I am happy to read your positive remarks about the Philippines. I am glad you enjoyed your sojourn in my home country.
Best regards,
Frankie
India I am so glad you could visit India. I suppose it´s your first trip to India, because I think India needs to be discovered slowly and deeply. Very good pictures. I enjoyed reading it. Love from Argentina, Graciela.
It is wonderful that you made it to Bangladesh ... you are lucky to have such good friends. Thanks for such an intersting blog and sharing your photos. I don't think a lot of people think of visiting Bangladesh, but it looks like such an interesting place. You seem to have met some very nice people also ... good people attract good people. Take care and we hope you are well and happy.
Hi,
It's really good to read your blog about your experience trekking in Nepal. I believe that it must have been the most wonderful experience to you. Your Nepalese guide happens to be a close friend of mine. He would like to catch up with you again. If you don't mind, maybe we can exchange msn addresses. It's really nice meeting you!
Nice Job and Hi! Hey! It's the old Leng from TT.
Glad to see you have duplicated (and expanded) this guide. Once again a great labor of love from a fellow traveler.
Happy trails my friend!

starting point the starting point where the visitors stoped their jorney is "sundari jal"which means good or beauty jal means water.we realize the name sundarijal is really truth when we reach there and view the sight.
I miss VietNam so much Thank you,
You are so beautiful in ao dai. I live in France for a long time and I miss so much Vietnam and Ao dai. I had only one occasion to wear white Ao dai in France when I presented my project. At that day, every people in my school told me that "so elegant, you are going to a marriage ?", I only told that 'in Vietnam, it is a uniform to go to school, and I want to take advantage this occasion to wear vietnamese uniforme". As you know that Ao dai is so elegant and I am a his fan
