Hey Guys,
God is so awesome to let me get to travel all over the world even at such a young age. I'm in India these days studying Air Pollution through a University of Arkansas program. I hope you enjoy my pics and stories. Please respond often. I want that more than anything.

Hey everyone, We are getting close to coming home. In ways that is really exciting and in other ways it’s really sad. Six weeks was not long enough. But then if we had been here 2 months, or 3, it still wouldn’t have been enough. Never is. We finished up our stuff in Bangalore last Friday. From there we took a train to the costal city of Chennai. It’s much hotter here and the humidity is crazy. We were met here by a friend of the University, Shrini. Shrini works with students from Chennai and tries to connect them with Universities in the states. So he has all sorts of connections with schools all over. He also has friends in the most amazing places. Each day Shrini sets up our schedule. Usually the only thing we ... read more

Life is so darn busy. This week was the reminder than I am still a student while I'm here. We have two tests, a presentation, a field trip and 20 or so engineering homework problems all coming up Thursday and Friday. Add in the fact that its our last week in Bangalore and we are trying to see it all between our 6 hours of class a day and you will see that I am a busy guy. I can't really complain though. We did just get back from a four day weekend. We organized our own trip to Bandipur and Ooty. Bandipur is just south of here and is a huge National Park. Ooty is what is called a hill station and is one of the most popular in the south. We left really early ... read more

Hey everyone, Thank you guys so much for all of your comments. I love hearing the random stuff you guys add. I especially want to thank Ashish, if you are reading this. He is someone who found my blog through the internet and added a comment about my post. Ashish, your comments on Jainism and the Jain monument were very enlightening. I actually printed it off and shared it with my Indian Studies class. If you haven't seen what Ashish added go to diary=75050 and you can read the first comment listed. I highly recommend it. To answer some questions asked: -Yes, the steak was cow. It is not illegal to serve cow here it can just alienate you from a couple hundred million Hindu's. -I'm sorry it is so hot there. Thats not my fault ... read more

Hey guys, Thanks for all of the comments, questions and complaints. I love hearing from you guys. Even the random stuff. I wanna thank everyone visiting via Facebook, especially Austin for keeping everyone updated. It really means alot when I see how many people have checked my blog. Now onto the interesting stuff. I'll try to keep these short and spread out b/c I know you guys will get bored with me eventually and then my self esteem will plummet, and thats no good. We have been in Bangalore for a little over a week now. The weather is amazing here. The city is at a higher elevation than Dehli, Agra and Jaipur so the temp hovers at an amazing 75 degrees or so. It is the monsoon season, so it rains almost every night, but ... read more

Hey guys, First things first. Yes there were terrorist attacks here in India this week. 7 bombs went off in Mumbai, which used to be Bombay. Mumbai is no where near to Bangalore. I am in no danger here. Life has been altered very little. The attacks were done by Islamic separatists but only the US media has said anything about Al Queda. The bombs were set off in train stations and first class compartments of trains. 180 people have already been reported dead and hundreds injured. But I am in no way in danger. I’ll try to keep this one short like the last one. I had hoped to add this yesterday but we went on a field trip that I’ll have to fill you in on later. Today I want to finish up with ... read more

Hey guys, Well we are finally in Bangalore. Which means I'm no longer living out of my pack. This is the first time in a week I've sat at a computer for longer than 5 minutes. I'm going to try to update more than once this week to fill you all in everything we did last week. And man it was alot. I don't want to have a forty page entry that no one will read. As an overview I'll fill you in and then get specific. We arrived in Dehli Tuesday night on the 4th after a 14 hour flight. We spent the next two nights there and then headed off to Agra. Agra is home to the Taj Mahal. Friday we moved onto Jaipur where we stayed two nights. We closed the "Golden Triangle" ... read more

Hey Guys, This is it. I'm am so stinking excited. I couldn't get to sleep last night until after 2 and then woke up at 3:50 thinking it was time to go. I think I woke up 6 times. Today could not have come fast enough. I'm not nervous. I know I'm about to go to a foreign country for 6 weeks, but I'm too excited to be anxious. I have great faith in our team that's going, so I'm not really worried about anything horrendous happening. But who knows what adventures God has planned for us. I expect the everything to be different. From the sights, sounds and smells to the people and food and all that. I think the classes will be great. I am encouraged to hear that lots of our learning for ... read more
