Yo ^.^ Hey bro, I'm just Reading up on your adventure, looks like you're having an amazing time; which is excellent. You'll have to share some stories when you get back, not long til that happens so make the most of your time left. Can't wait to see you again dude, I'm just on the bus on my way home from the Cinema, my friend wanted to watch, wait for it...Bolt! Haha it was pretty funny but the 3D glasses were annoying; I personally wanted to see "Watchmen" but ah well. Just getting home now so Ill catch you later, Peace Bro ^ x
How exciting! Hi Alex, greetings from Devon, hope you remember us, your Mum gave me the details of your trip. Really interested to see Melbourne, I am going in April, to meet up with my fiance, who lives there and I am getting married in September. Is a shame I didn't realise earlier that you were there, he would have put you up and given you a good meal or two!
Enjoy NZ, would love to go there too! Take care and enjoy the rest of your trip, lots of love Sue and Thomas xxx
Finally decided to read your travelblog...
You know NZ tops Aussie, by far! How could anywhere be better than the Chch YHA lol?
This week I'm gonna make you do touristy crap in Chch so that you have something worth writing home about. :D
Goodbye Australia Hey Alex
Good to see the blog, there haven't been that many recently but I know there have been good reasons for that.
Melbourne sounds like my kind of city, cultural and presumably cosmopolitan. You've clearly made the best of what you've had there despite the lack of funds, hopefully you can find work in NZ.
I like the last paragraph with your reflections of your time in and thoughts on Australia though the 'goon' is something I'd avoid like the plague!
Have fun for the rest of your time there and take care too, we'll be looking out for the first NZ blog.
Love, Simon
Awe inspiring! Hey Alex
Firstly sorry to hear about the moron of a chef who gave you a hard time, you did the right thing and left. Sounds like you're really enjoying yourself now and not at all thrown by your experiences, that's the hope that I had for this trip for you, that you would be able to cope with whatever life throws your way, and that you mature into the fantastic man that we all know you're capable of being. Skydiving!! what a buzz that must have been Alex, I'm genuinely envious as it's something I've always wanted to do, maybe it's never too late even for an old man like me. The way in which you recounted your feelings were lovely, it bought a tear to my eyes. Don't know what your plans are right now so keep blogging and let us know.
Take care and have fun.
Love, Simon
Looking good! Hey Alex
Looks like you've really settled down there and fallen on your feet in terms of the great hostel and work, it's good to know that.
Your trip to Mission Beach looked great, I'm not at all envious! You've also turned into something of a great white explorer, ok I know it's supposed to be 'hunter' but allow me some artistic license please. The rain forest 'ramble' looked interesting, you should have looked for some Cassowary eggs, they'd have made a great omelette!
Don't work too hard, you'll end up burning out and not enjoying yourself.
Keep blogging Alex, they're really good reading and lets us know just how well you're doing and enjoying the whole experience.
Take care and have fun.
Love, Simon.
Too hot-Too spicy? Hi Alex, sounds like you're having a great time. The piccies are fab, keep them coming. Its great to see where you are and what you're doing while you're away. We are all so envious here of your travels. Everyone is well so enjoy your trip. Will mail again soon. Hugs, Sue

Love the blog Hi Alex, sounds like you had a really good day. Really pleased to see so many photos - looks as though your decision to buy the laptop was more than justified. Loving the blog, keep going sweetheart - Australia tomorrow!! :-)
Welcome to the world of the Blogger Alex! Hey Alex
Looks like you're settling down nicely, I'm so glad you're starting to enjoy yourself, and I'm also very proud of what you're doing and how you're doing it.
I'm surprised at you being so cultured though :-) enjoying the Temple I mean, still I guess it was always there you just didn't show it!
The weather will improve, I've been looking at the forecast and it's set to get hot there so get your shorts out ready.
How's the local food? make sure you eat properly and don't drink the tap water. Blimey I'm sounding all old and grandparent-ish, I'd better stop.
What have you got planned for the next couple of days? keep us informed and try and get some more piccy's on here if you can.
Ok enough from me for now, tale care and I'll look in again soon.
Simon
