Hey everyone back home :-) hope your all well, its 7:15pm Tuesday and I'm guessing its about 11:15am back in England about today was my first proper day here in Taipei, its a very busy city with people and scooters everywhere, it seems like everyone has a scooter and they ride them everywhere including the pavements lol, the weathers pretty bad cos it keeps raining but its still really hot, was still finding my feet after the flight yesterday (left England 9:30pm Sunday arrived in Taipei at 9:15pm Monday) so i haven't really done a lot i went to the library to use the computers but found it harder to get to then i first thought so i asked a man for directions but i must have looked a little confused still cos he ended up giving me lift on the back of his scooter lol then i went to the CKS memorial hall which was ok tho all that's inside is a statue but the park its in is beautiful so i had a wonder around there, then i spent nearly 2 hours looking for a restaurant that was recommended in the book i have but with no avail so i ended up eating in Starbucks! ironic i know as iv travelled halfway around the world and end up eating in somewhere we have in Cov, then i went to shindu night market which was really cool they have shops and stalls everywhere with food galore, anyways i'm going to try and upload some photos now

Hey Alex Looks like you're settling down nicely, I'm so glad you're starting to enjoy yourself, and I'm also very proud of what you're doing and how you're doing it. I'm surprised at you being so cultured though :-) enjoying the Temple I mean, still I guess it was always there you just didn't show it! The weather will improve, I've been looking at the forecast and it's set to get hot there so get your shorts out ready. How's the local food? make sure you eat properly and don't drink the tap water. Blimey I'm sounding all old and grandparent-ish, I'd better stop. What have you got planned for the next couple of days? keep us informed and try and get some more piccy's on here if you can.
