Well I'm back. I've spent the last few days slowly uploading pictures and videos to all the post. If you've been following along my journey please take a few moments to check out the previous posts as now relevant pictures are scattered about each posting. Click on the picture if you want to see it enlarged. Any videos are at displayed at the top of the entry. Most videos were taken in the second half of my trip though. Actually, I do have a final story about my trip too. The last afternoon in Bangkok I walked around looking for possible presents to give to family and friends. At one shop I found some shirts I thought would be nice gifts then bartered for a somewhat decent price for them. Between finding the right shirts and ... read more

Well I'm in Bangkok now getting things together to go back home tomorrow. You might think that after everything I've seen, all the people I've met and all the adventures I've had that I wouldn't be longing, even a little bit, to get back to my life back at home...and you'd be right. I really don't want to go back. Yes I do miss all you friends and family but it's not like we couldn't go a couple more weeks apart, right? How about some of you guys just head over here? Problem solved. Ok, the night after I sent my last blog I did end up walking to a Muay Thai arena/bar. It was during the second to the last fight so they didn't even make me pay. That last fight ended with a flurry ... read more

Hey everybody. I had a long journey for the past few nights but I'm getting ahead of myself. Vang Vieng, wow. Just wow. Alright, so after my last post when I just arrived in Vang Vieng I had some pizza at a restaurant while laying down on a comfy patted mat while watching "Entourage" on a big screen t.v. Like I told you before, this place wasn't where you go for cultural experiences. It was raining hard at night when I finished so I couldn't do my usual walking-around-the-city-at-night-thing. When I got back to my groddy guesthouse, I wasn't feeling so well, was wet and just wanted to go to bed. The guesthouse owner and about six other older Lao guys were sitting around the entrance. While taking off my flip-flops (no shoes allowed in most ... read more

Hello all. There's quite a lot thats happened since my last post so I'll try to keep this light so as to not go on forever. I left Hoi An at about two in the afternoon a few days ago on a coach to get up to Hanoi. It's a seventeen hour ride to get to there which means out of the last three days, two full days would be spent on buses. Make no mistake about it, Vietnam is really, really long. After about an hour on the road we were driving through the Central Highlands region of Vietnam which was beautiful. When we switched to the sleeper bus before dinner I ended meeting an American and Australian guy who had been traveling together for the last few weeks. Right before Hoi An they were ... read more

Hey everybody. Its been awhile so let me try to remember where I left off last. I think I was still in Phon Penh, Cambodia and getting ready to leave for Vietnam. Alright, so I got my ticket for Saigon, A.K.A. Ho Chi Minh City, and my visa into Vietnam through my guesthouse in Phom Penh. The bus picked me up in the morning outside my place and a six hour trip later I was dumped off in Saigon. It was roughly four in the afternoon on July 15th at this point. There's a couple block section off a street, Pham Ngu Lao, that parallels a park in Saigon filled guesthouses that is pretty much the backpacker hangout. The bus dropped us off right on that street. Now I knew what section of Pham Ngu Lao ... read more

Hello Everybody. Here's the deal, I just spent an hour writing every detail of my last four days in an extensive blog post. Just as I was finishing the last paragraph my computer at this internet cafe decided to restart out of the blue. I did not save either. You might say I'm a little ticked and now you're all just going to get the shortened version. After Siem Reap I bused over to Phnom Phen, the capital of Cambodia. My guesthouse is amazing, large ceilings, hot water, powerful fan, cable tv and all for eight bucks a day (most everything is paid for with US dollars in Cambodia). My first full day I walked to the National Museum then took a tuk-tuk to S-21, the former school that was used as the Khmer Rouge's torture ... read more

Hello everybody, I've had quite a few interesting days since I last posted. Lets see, I think I was Koh Tao last time wrote. The sunburn I got snorkling only got worse. It was impossible to sleep the next on my back and I had what felt like shocks of electricity flying over my back the throughout the following few days. The thought of lugging a heavy backpack on it didn't seem like the best idea so I stayed in Koh Tao a little longer then expected. Most of the days were spent reading from my porch and if I did swim, I was like the fat kid at the pool, my shirt was always on. Everynight I'd head out to Lotus bar to watch the fire dancers. There were some characters at the bar too. ... read more

Hello everybody, I spent two nights total at High Life in Ko Pha Ngah and think I should have given myself a third. The place was just stunning in every way. After writing my last post I rented a scooter from a rental place at the start of the driveway for High Life. The polite man renting it to me had obvious worries that after I told him I'd never rode one before. His worries likely spiked as I drove off in a shaky weaving pattern up the driveway to head to the northern beaches. Fortunately I got the hang of the scooter after only a few minutes of driving. Other than an early moment of forgetting that Thais drive on the left had side, which resulted in a slow game of a chicken with an ... read more

Hello everybody, I spent another night at the Paradise bungalows on Sunrise beach after writing last. I briefly mentioned before that Ko Pha Ngan is know for its Full Moon Parties which go on all night on the Sunrise beach. The last one was about two weeks ago. What I didn't know though was that the 26th is the night of a half moon, which also has a party. This party (more like rave actually) is only about a thousand people though and is in the middle of the jungle. There were people all over Sunrise offering taxis the party so I jumped on to go (its basically two benches on the back of a covered pickup). Right as I was leaving three Swedes jumped on as well. They had been on the islands for about ... read more

Hello everybody. I've had quite an interesting few days. I don't even know where to begin. Alright, so I spent another two days in Bangkok after writing last. It was amazing. I saw Wat Po, this HUGE golden Buddha that is laying down. It's a 150 feet long and I don't even know how high. Insanely cool. I also went to see the Grand Temple, which is the big attraction in Bangkok. Again, I was stunned at the granduer and intricacies that go into all these temples. I would love to show everyone all the pictures I took but so far all the internet cafes I've been in don't have slots to upload them. Sorry about that. They would have blow all your minds though. Moving along. I switched guesthouses again after staying in the cheaper ... read more
