We drove through the desert into Northern Territory heading for Ayers Rock. There's not much to see along the highway but we did stop at the Devils Marbles, a bunch of rocks shaped by the elements that were pretty fun to climb!... read more

Travelling further north we stopped at Rockhampton for a couple of days. We visited a tiny coastal town nearby called Emu Park, although after seeing the box jellyfish warnings neither of us were too happy to test out the water! Leaving Rockhampton we headed for Townsville, our most northerly stop off before starting to travel inland. We were unlucky enough to have a few very dull and wet days but it was still warm enough to enjoy a visit to Cape Pallarenda conservation park where we found a little hidden beach.... read more

Leaving New South Wales we headed for Queensland. First stop was the Gold Coast where we visited Surfers Paradise, Seaworld, Mount Tambourine and some of the beautiful beaches along the coast.... read more
