Penguins are Jackasses Well that's what some of them are called in South Africa near Boulder just outside of Cape Town. I think they bray like a donkey, but I didnt hear much of that...

You are still my HERO! I told you I have so much admiration for your spunk and zest for life. I was not aware you were doing this trip. I am still living vicariously through you.....especially on this one! I love hearing from you and am so proud of you. Take care in all of your adventures. (When you are here next, we should go to dinner, my treat.)
Hi Sarah!
I was in Pucon a few days ago - the volcano hike was pretty amazing - especially the slide down!! I´ve also got an almost identical shot of the town hall with the volano in the background! although the beach was much quieter when I visited- ony a few dozen people. It was packed when you were there!
Wow! Sara, Great pictures with this update and the last! We've loved hearing about all your travels and Antarctica is extra cool (no pun intended :) Keep them coming!
Fantastic pictures Just wanted to also say what great pictures these are. You must have had a such a great time. There are some really good Antarctica travel photos on the adventure travel website http://www.wanderlust.co.uk/ and they also run a photo competition so might be worth entering!
Don't forget to turn your tag All you are missing is a tow rope behind the Zodiac and you can practice your wakesurfing. A game you should add to the olympics. The name is beatin' memory. What you do is wait for a group of passengers to leave on a days excusion and once they leave you flip all there tags to green. Then you attempt to remember who's tag was red. The winner is the person who doesn't get beat up because they stranded a person on a freezing island. Good luck. Love the pics and I hope you are having a great time. I am putting in a special request. I would like a pic of a chin strap penguin or a tiger seal. Happy hunting! Looking forward to the next blog. Love you Jeff
my father recently enlightened sue ann and i to your blog site. your travels are wonderful and we are sharing them with our three children. keep enjoying the wonderful opportunity you have. look forward to seeing you back in the states.
Urppppp! Ahhh... there is no sick like seasick!
Despite the reward of the destination I am not sure I could have done it.
Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. - Bill
Bootie Lynn visits another continent By our calculations, you only have Asia left to visit!! How we admire our traveling daughter!! We are anxiously awaiting your pictures that are to follow in the next blog. As usual, your trip sounded wonderful. Tyler was hoping that you could bring back a live penquin. We will see in in a "few weeks". Stay safe. Baby Ducks!!! Love, Mom and Dad
What an amazing account!! Sara,
I have always wanted to go to Antartica but now I don't know if I would like all the rough seas. Is that usual? I can't wait to see your next pictures. This is like living your adventure. Thanks.
Esther
Burrrr Sara,
Are you sure you are not in Wisconsin and just adding some extra pictures?? The iceberg resembles our driveway! We hope you are having a great time, and we will see you in April.
Love,
Nancy
Sara, you are one brave and adventurous girl. What a fantastic experience. Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us land lubbers! Myself I like the warmth we are having here in Texas. Hope to see you when you get back to Wisconsin. Safe travels.
Wowee Wowee wow wow wow. i didn't know you were doing this! Unbelievable. What an experience!
Today I did some laundry and volunteered at Luke's school and then taught drama. ...
Nope. Doesn't compare.
:) Thanks for sharing! Miss you!
To the ends of the world? Sara- it is hard to believe that many people share the vast experiences you have had- perhaps, someday, you will share them in formal writing! What people miss by not travelling is not only the beauty of our little planet, but the exhiliration and sense of life as it was meant to be. Your pixs are beautiful. It is hard not to want to book a ticket..... Hope to see you when you return. Ulmaa and Alex head to Mongolia in late May(another great place to be). Peace.
From Africa to Argentina Hey Sara - While you were in Antarctica, I was in Africa having my picture taken at the southern-most tip of Africa at the Cape of Good Hope! I looked across the ocean toward Antarctica - I should have waved at you! Keep me on your list - your pictures are beautiful and I love to hear and see your adventures. Stay safe.
Hi Sara...by now you've returned from Antarctica...to where I do not know. Your travels are so inspiring, your pictures are breathtaking, and your blog a joy to read. Am doing a little travel writing myself, but haven't had any GREAT ADVENTURES as of yet.
In the meantime, I'll just live vicariously through you...Take gentle care of yourself...
Good for you... I was wondering what you were up to! Once again, what beautiful pictures! I continue to view South America through your eyes. Thank you. Have a great time on your trip to Antartica. That just sounds crazy to even say. Take care of yourself and take lots of pix. Love, Cari
