We went to Berlin for the 2nd May Bank Holiday weekend (26May-28May). We went to Berlin with Easyjet; it was about £120 per person (a little pricey due to peak period) and the flight time is a little inconvenience because it departed at 6.30am, and check-in time is from 4.30am so we took the last train from London Bridge to Luton airport (about 1hour). We got there by 1.30am and slept on the benches for few hours. There are three airports in Berlin, which are Schoenefled, Tegel and Tempelhof. We went to Berlin Schoenefled with Easyjet and this is the furthest airport from town centre and to the hotel - Grand Hotel Esplanade, it took us about 1 hour. The closest airport is Berlin Tempelhof it would be about 20 minutes from town and 30minutes ... read more

April 8th 2007

It was my first time to visit Dubai by chance, because it was my boyfriend's business trip between 09Apr and 12Apr07 and since I work for an airline, then I bought myself a stand-by air-ticket (Emirates) to go along with him. We stayed at the 5* Crowne Plaza hotel and it's situated at the financial area, on the Sheikh Zayed Road. We managed to visit a few places in Dubai: Jumeirah Beach Park, Mall of Emirates, Ski Dubai, Dubai Museum, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Gold Souk, Old Souk, Dubai Marina, Mercato (Shopping Mall), Deira City Centre (Shopping Mall) etc... The climate wasn't that bad in early April it is still bearable about 20-29 degrees. The main transportation is taxi. We basically took taxi everywhere! Since it is so cheap, it’s only few pounds each time! But ... read more

Hong Kong - Victoria Peak Asia » Hong Kong » Victoria Peak By roseycheeks October 18th 2006 Yvonne Choi I went to the Victoria Peak with my former colleague and her husband on 18Oct06. We took the peak-tram up the hill; it took less than 10 minutes. We arrived at the Peak Tower, which was built recently. There are mixture of shopping, dining and entrainment. There’s a Hong Kong Madame Tussauds in the Peak Tower, it is less £10 (HKD120) for the entrance fee. If you didn’t feel like to go in, there’s one Bruce Lee waxwork for you to take pictures with for free! The staffs are happy to take pictures for you. There’s a famous theme restaurant... read more

We went to Curacao between 30Aug06 and 05Sep06 straight after the amazing trip to Aruba. Curacao looks similar to Amsterdam with all the colorful buildings! There is a floating market at Willemstad they sale fishes, fruit and vegetables as well! There are 2 must-visit beaches called: 1. Porto Marie - there is a small entrance fee, USD3 per person including 1 soft drink from the bar. But on the weekend is USD6 per person this also include 1 soft drink. This beautiful beach is perfect for snorkeling, swimming and diving. We actually bought our own snorkeling gear so we didn’t have to rent anything. On the first day, we snorkeled between 11am and 3pm from the far right hand-side of the beach to the far left hand-side of the beach. There are much less fishes ... read more

It was my boyfriend's dream as a kid to swim with Dolphins. So to make his dream come true I've been doing research and found this site www.dolphin-academy.com. It is located at Sea Aquarium Curacao (Southern Caribbean), which was great! There are different programs, depending on your age, budget and what you prefer. Pregnant women can only participate in the Dolphin Encounter Program. Before all the activities, you will receive instructions from the trainers. Customers must fill in an assumption of risk waiver before the activity of: Dolphin Swim and Dolphin Snorkel. You must get there before hand to pay for your activity and they will hand you the color coded wrist band for your activity and different color coded wrist band for the spectators. You must bring along bathing suit, towel and suntan lotion. ... read more

Aruba - Hudishibana - California Lighthouse  Central America Caribbean » Aruba By roseycheeks August 24th 2006 Yvonne Choi This Hudishibana - California Lighthouse is isolated at the northwest tip of the Aruba Island. This lighthouse has become one of the Aruba’s most scenic trademarks. It offers the perfect view of the western coastline if sandy beaches. There are rocky coral shorelines and sand dunes near-by, so please be careful if you are driving! Because we saw a jeep drove through the sand dunes and got stuck in the sand! There is a restaurant just right next to the lighthouse, they offer refreshments during the days and they do fine dining during the nights. There... read more

Aruba - Eagle Beach Central America Caribbean » Aruba By roseycheeks August 24th 2006 Yvonne ChoiDuring Aug06, we stayed at the MVC Eagle Beach hotel which is directly opposite the beautiful Eagle Beach. It’s got long white sand stretches along the west-side of the island! It is very quiet; it really feels like a private beach. The Eagle Beach is just across the road from where we stayed. There are some parking spaces for you to park your car if you drove from another part of the island! There are some special looking trees called the Divi Divi Tree. There are also a lot of different sizes of iguanas around as well!! ... read more

And we didn’t know where we should go. But I’ve always fancied going to the Caribbean. Then my Manager recommended Aruba to us. So I started planning and doing all the research last year May06 for the trip! And we decided to go for about 1 week during end of August.
