I was wondering what had happened to you. Christian is paying so cal a visit this week from Ithica and we'll each drink a pint in your honor. Cheers and stay safe!!
Happy to see a Blog again Great to see a blog in my inmail this morning. Happy to see that you are able to help at the clinic yet and hope that you get some great students for tutoring. Looking forward to eating some of your nshimi. We will try to get a package off today, will probably not get there by Christmas but hopefully soon after. Will take something when I come.
Several people who were following your blogs have been asking how you are doing so they l will be happy to see one again.
Love Dad
wow Geesh, it seems like you are having a routine down over there. It's definitely different than the routine you would have here thats for sure. Your pics are amazing but where are the pictures with you in them? Hopefully you can get some with you and your buds too. Be safe!
hey ... ... be nice to those Germans ;)
wow, what a long journal entry. memories of my time in Romania are coming back. I can totally see you mading the soccer team gaining brownie points - cute you! take good care of yourself, wear gloves, spread love and your joyful soul ... LOVE: me!
reading from you brightens my day hello lovely one, I am glad to hear of all your crazy adventures... it sounds scary, and amazing, and freaky, and beautiful, and gross, and unbelievable all at the same time! ... my heart and love is with you - I think of you often, and fondly; look at the pics of the puppies, and that pic of you, Jeff and me at death valley (quite old, but beloved ;).
News: I booked my flight on friday for syndey. I will be there for almost two weeks, incl. NYE, then off to singapore for three days, then to London and then back to Munich. costs a fortune, but I cannot wait to start the trip... you know me!!
anyways, be up for more. grow, laugh, and remember we all love and miss you terribly much (no doubt!)
who's gonna ride your wild horses ...
LOVE: toni.
wow-your working at a medical clinic in zambia? that's pretty far out. i'm wondering how you wound up getting a gig like that....
be careful in africa and always keep your wits about you when entering a river or lake for a cool dip. my sister was nearly eaten by a crocodile once while she was in Kenya.
Good luck, be safe and have fun!!
paveenemafam@comcast.net Dear Ri, I hit Enter to get to the next line and it sent the message without me writing anything. Anyway, great blog. You have learned a huge amount about getting around and human relations. Someday you will be in a position to offer someone a room and meal or ride. Will be good to pay it forward for the help you have received and pass it along. Would it be wonderful if everyone in the world could just help one another.
Hope to one day get to travel around Europe just for fun and apply some of your tips. Sue, Jeremy and Eden just came over and I haven't seen them for a month so I am going to sign off for now. I'll say it again, great blog. Love you,
Dad
good i am glad to hear you are save and happy ...
continue eating 3-min eggs = they will make you grow strong (like me:)
also glad to hear the med thing worked out somehow ... still have not find your package ... it's not at the toll station (i had called them again).
Weike will be moving to australia in february, so just a little FYI :)
Quite a feast and cultural experience Sounds like you made up for some protein and calories. Your stomach is probably smaller than it usually would have been. How long did the reception last, they are all night in some cultures? What relative of Marc's was married? What did you do for dress appropriate for a wedding?
Glad you had a great time. Maybe I will see you watching the Tour in the Perenees.
cheers! hey hey sorry haven't responded to any of your stuff in forever... love hearing about everything and touring vicariously through you while my own adventures are limited to driving around el paso at the moment blaaa!!! and yeah I'm sooo with you on the car thing..... would have been grumpy with you. Love you!
Officially Jealous Your trip sounds pretty awesome, but i wasn't officically jealous until this entry. Biking in Italy=AWESOME. If theres any place in the world where really you HAVE to ride a bike, it's Italy.
Hi Kristin!
Super glad to hear you're still alive :). I was thinking this morning that it's been awhile since I heard from you. It sounds like you're having an amazing experience and will update you soon with a more personal email. Keep safe- I want you to return safe and sound :)!
Learning your heritage Glad to hear you were able to enjoy the Dutch hospitality. And they could see your Dutch lineage and you have the Dutch wanderlust. Enjoying hearing about the trip. See, do and learn as much as you can. Be safe. Love
food for thought i've been enjoying all the blogs- i don't know how you have time to write them, but i'm thankful that you do. your travels inspire me to just get out there myself. when you come back, you have to introduce me to all that dutch food you're talking about. i'm curious- i've never had oily balls (lol). i'll make some filipino food for you in exchange :) please be safe, enjoy every second, and please continue to write.
Herring and Olliebollen Kristin - sounds like it was a perfect day!! I can just picture you and Michele finding the olliebollen stand - I'm sure it brought a lot of excitement. I'm so glad that the windmill tour worked out. Lots of great memories. Be safe, miss you, love you bunches, keeping you in my prayers.
Glad to hear everything is going okay! I was wondering if you were alive and well. I've really enjoyed reading your blog. Sounds like you're having a great time. Keep writing!
Katherine

I woke up from a dream an hour ago, about you and me, including Tom from Hangar18.
I wish you love and will see you on wed.
Be safe strong and smart.
Have fun.
Congratulations on getting all that done so fast.
Probably would have been easier without your fantastic distraction.
24lbs!
Very nice. High five!
Marc
Kick ass!! What you are doing is awesome. I've always wanted to go on a backpack trip through Europe. You are my new hero-write down all the details so i can take notes for whenever I go on my adventure....
so, after completing my master's in nutrition (well, almost...the written thesis is due in a year), i've decided to put my 20+ years of education to good use and vagabond around europe, zambia and south africa. if all goes well, by this time next year i'll have acquired bono's signature on my body, be able to converse fluently with the locals in zambia, figured out what i want to do when i grow up, and have rock hard abs :)... full info
