Hanging over the falls, maybe you couldn't do this in a country with safety regulations....it was amazingly beautiful

Babyface, Vinnie and Simba - some of the guides, makes me miss all of my climber friends. Day after my birthday at Taonga.

Plowing in the morning at the village. I tried - managed two very crooked rows!

Carrying Water

Getting water for beer brewing. Notice how I have the smallest container and am holding it with two hands - unfortunately not such a natural!

Me attempting to pound millet - fairly unsuccessfully, for the beer. At least everyone had a good laugh.

Making beer - the local way. Finger millet cooked for a few days turns into a grey, sonewhat thick beer, it's actually pretty good, better than chibuku.
Eating...againEating...again
Eating...again

Probably the fifth time I ate that day...everyone is really generous. This was dried squeaker fish - that's right, I'm eating fish now, really good

Sunset in the bush - doesn't get much better than this. This was walking back from drinking local beer in the next village over, the most common past-time in Zambia
My GoatMy Goat
My Goat

This was my goat for two days - before we slaughtered it in the front yard. He had to walk two hours, ride in the trunk of a taxi, and spend a night tied to a table before being eaten...
