one of the highlight of our trip to Sarawak good accommodation at the park headquarte in nice bungalow be careful of the monkeys they stole anything left unattended. we left our camera on the table outside the bungalow and in seconds it was in the hands of a monkey and up to a tall tree. fortunately she dropped it for food and we could have it back! great walking in the park, lots of wildlife and plants we also swam in the clear sea far from crocs ... read more

we travelled from Tai'an to Shanghai on a modern fast train which took only 6 hours. we bought the ticket at Tai'an station two days in advance our departure. a fastforward procedure; the lady at the ticket office spoke English! Shanghai has changed much more than Beijing in the last 20 years even the Bund and Nanjing road were unrecognizable hundreds of highrise building and skyscrapers everywhere. ... read more

I had visited Beijing 20 years ago and I have found difficult to remember hutongs and streets since so much has changed since then there was a constant stream of bycicles and I cycled for days in streets free of traffic most of the sights have been cleaned and restored, but the amount of people has remained the same i don't know if we were lucky but on our daytrip to the Great wall we found the monument almost deserted and we enjoyed the quiteness and nature a lot ... read more
