Jumping the world's highest bungee jump was a close second best thrill of the week, right behind hand feeding ostriches. Still can't post pics. Boo.... read more

Yet again the Internet cafe blocks their USB ports so I am still unable to post pics. But we departed Mozambique on Monday and headed to Swaziland, Africa's only absolute monarchy. It was a great country with very friendly people. We visited a Swazi village and took a hike in a game park. In the nights we stayed in these "beehive huts" which were domes covered in reeds (but electricity and our own bathrooms inside so very swanky). Yesterday, we departed Swaziland and crossed the border back to South Africa, where I will be for the rest of the trip. We will travel mostly along the coast. Right now we are in the small coastal town of St. Lucia, where most of us are just relaxing and we have a boat cruise to search for hippo ... read more

Still can't post pics unfortunately but will have a ton of pics and videos to post once I get back. We continued on in South Africa through the Blyde River Canyon which had an amazing view and then onto Kruger National Park which was awesome. Had great views of lions, a leopard, elephants, rhino, and many other animals. Unfortunately I still have not seen any leopards but still at least one more game drive to go. On Wednesday we travelled to Mozambique and today we headed to the Indian Ocean coast and are staying right next to the beach. We are here for three days.... read more

I travelled through Botswana and am in South Africa for a week or so before we head out to Mozambique. The highlight of the past few days has been Pilanesberg National Park. Went on a walking tour escorted by guys with big rifles and then on an evening game drive. Betgween the two, I saw a ton of giraffe, hippo, rhinos, zebra, buffalo, and antelope. Still no predators through, other than crocs. Unfortunately this computer is not letting me upload pics right now. ... read more

In Namibia we went on canoes down the Okavango River where we met some hippos, who evidently are NOT fans of people on canoes. We barely escaped with our lives and then went on a game drive Okavango National Park. Only have time to post a few pics, I have limited Internet access. ... read more

Arrived today. The flight was brutal (even with the nice selection of Summer Catch as an in-flight movie) but the first 8 hours in Zambia made it worth it. We saw cavemen and other assorted awesome stuff at the Livingstone Museum and then took a sundown cruise on the Zambezi River where we saw hippos and elephants and a croc. One of the elephants even came into the water to check out the boats. ... read more
