Hi Guys. Some of you are getting emails about blogs that were wrote last year and I just want to explain what's going on. The website that I use had big problems last year and their server crashed. Unfortunately due to me having a job interview for the forth coming ski season my trip in South America is cut short. I have only completed one of the three things that I really wanted to do before I arrived so I know that I will be back again soon! Hello Uruguay and welcome to Colonia del Sacramento a UNESCO World heritage site. A pretty little Colonial town with a lot of cobbled streets, original buildings with a quaint little atmosphere. A lot of buildings are built using original Portuguese construction and due to it being a site of historical importance there have been no alterations (you can tell this by the paint work I am sure) A nice place to bimble around for an hour or two, probably more appreciated by those over 70 (there was al ot of these type of tourists around, American tour group I think) [View Full Entry]

I have spent the last two weeks on this island just a couple of hour’s boat journey from Salvador. Most of my time has been spent chatting, reading or sun bathing trying to give my liver a break after the carnage of carnaval. The plan didn’t quite go well the first few days as there was a full moon party which didn’t quite compare to those in Thailand but still managed to keep me up dancing all night. What a place. I spent 4 days in this bohemian little town which felt like one of the safest place in the whole of South America, the locals left their doors open, unlocked and nobody bothers you at any time. On the edge of the Parque Nacional Chapada we spent our time climbing waterfalls, looking over the edge of a 400metre high waterfall and generally things that you do in one big parque - trek! There is a cliffs edge to look over and see the water fall but you can't stand on the edge, the vertigo alone would make [View Full Entry]
