Oh hello. This update is going to suck because I'm tired and pissed off, but I decided I needed to finish off the trip. Went from Alabama where I left my pillow to Atlanta, Georgia. Saw some cool things like the city and Stone Mountain, which is the south's version of Mount Rushmore. I can't decide if having a monument to Lee, Davis, and Jackson is cool or kind of strange. I won't go any further. Stayed with the Newby family in Georgia and they were awesome. I really enjoyed having the home cooked meal, and they were extremely nice. Left Georgia early in the morning, stopped in SC to see Uncle Jared and get adjusted, continued on to Durham, NC where we had pizza with Manny. Made it to the DC area around 8:30 and ... read more

Hello all, So we left New Mexico for San Antonio, and WOW the ride was unbearable. Okay, the landscape like I've said a hundred times is unreal, but after a while you kind of get it and just want to be in a different state. It took us around 12 hours to get from Albuquerque, NM to San Antonio, Texas. The place we stayed in San Antonio was great, it was a Crown Plaza and we got it for so cheap it almost didn't seem to make any sense. Unfortunately, we got there really late, so we were kind of out of luck when it came to eating somewhere. This has happened before and hasn't been a problem, but on those times we've eaten lunch. For those of you that haven't driven through western Texas, there ... read more

Fell asleep last night before Sister Act even ended. I should be punished. Left this morning for the Four Corners, which is where Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico all meet up. I really liked it a lot. It was a lot of fun telling people that I was in 4 different states at once. Stopped in Cortez, Colorado for gas and lunch, lots of people in cowboy hats. Still more hitch hikers which I find so bizarre. Unfortunately for them, there's no room in the car. At one point yesterday we passed a really tiny gas station, and the sign out front said, "Lotto-Guns-Ammo-Beer". Ah yes, all of the necessities. It continued to rain all day today which was kind of lame, but at least it was not a million degrees like yesterday and the ... read more

Hola, Slept well in the tent in San Diego which was a shocker. Left extremely early to try to beat the extreme heat driving from San Diego to Vegas, but got caught in car accident traffic so it didn't exactly work out to our favor. The drive from the campground to Vegas was absolutely brutal. It was so incredibly hot, but you can't crank the A/C because that could possibly lead to the car over heating, especially driving the car uphill through the mountains. Rolling down the windows didn't help either, so we were literally just baking in the car. Made it to Vegas, found Henri's brother Jason and his friends, then walked around the casinos all day. I really thought they were going to be much more strict about IDs, but I was only asked ... read more

I think the last time I left off, we had not arrived in San Francisco yet, so I'm going to say we were in Arcata, CA. The next day we drove through more of the Redwoods in California, specifically the Avenue of the Giants, and saw more of the Pacific Coast Highway. I loved it, even though it's the most ridiculous road I've ever been on. It has insane curves and the speed limit is super slow for the most part, with good reason. Who builds a road on a cliff with no guard rails? Kind of nauseating. I fell asleep in the car on the way to San Francisco, and didn't realize that I dropped my camera under the front car seat. Needless to say, I didn't get any pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. ... read more

Sorry I suck at updating this. Last time I updated I think we were in Montana. I forgot to mention that something I found extremely interesting in South Dakota was that at every point there was a fatal car accident on the highway, there was a sign that said something along the lines of "Think Don't Die". It was so bizarre. Saw Yellowstone again, got to see Old Faithful! It was exciting. Everyone should see that at some point in their life. Once in Idaho, we saw the Craters of the Moon National Monument. There used to be some volcanic activity here and the lava that cooled seriously makes this area look like you're on the moon. We climbed up what used to be a cone from a volcano. Stayed at a motel in Idaho, I ... read more

Oh wow. Sorry to those who were looking for updates, this is the first time I've had wireless on this trip. Actually, we had it in Iowa, but I was too tired to get anything accomplished. I'm going to give a short run down of my past week: Monday: Got up at 5am, packed the car, picked up Henri, and left on our adventure. Our first stop was Chicago, and we stayed with Mom's friend Wendy. I'll give a brief description of the states we drove through: Pennsylvania: Honestly, when you've see one part of Pennsylvania along Route 80, you've seen it all. Farms, farms, and more farms. I can't remember how long it took us to drive through Pennsylvania, but it was a long time. Ohio: This state should also just be part of Pennsylvania. ... read more

Hello everybody, For those of you that did not know, I'm embarking on a journey across the United States. I do not have nearly enough money to be going on an adventure like this, but I don't start work until June 1st and I couldn't get tickets for Bruce in NJ (haha), so I'm going. I'm never the type of person to take risks or anything of this nature, though I'd like to claim I am, but I'm going anyway. I'll be leaving for Chicago bright and early tomorrow morning. There will be camping on this trip, which should be interesting considering last time I was camping in a tent I slept for about an hour. I'm starting to pack up my things now. I'll be gone from tomorrow, May 11th, until May 29th. Then, on ... read more
