Tomorrow I start my first full week of classes, and since I missed my first class on Thursday, then it also be my first day of classes as well. The Avant-Garde and the Generation of '27. Today has been quite relaxing. I slept in, ate a small lunch at a little cafetería and then came to an Internet cafe. Madrid is VERY hot. I'd like to wear shorts more often, but I just don't have any, and it's too much trouble to go buy some. I heard that in about a month, it is going to cool down. Yesterday, when I woke up, I was actually fairly cold. I had to get under the covers! The whole morning stayed pretty fresca. I was shocked. Right now, it is 30º (86º F) here, but it's a dry heat, which is nice. At night, it goes down to about 17ºC (62ºF). I truly feel at home here. Europe September 5th 2009

After a day and a half search for an Internet cafe, I´ve finally found one. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be... Anyway, this is my first week in Spain, and I absolutely love it. Europeans are quite nice, and I feel very much at home here. Today, I had an interesting conversation with a man from the Dominican Republic who has been living here for 3 years. There are people here from all over. I have (apart from English and Spanish) heard French, British accents, German and many other languages. My favorite part about Spain: It is very laid back.
