Nice Beaches Matt, way to be passive on the sights at the beach, very nice. As far as the shorts turning clear, good for you there is nothing to see anyway. All joking aside, stay safe and I hope the remainder of your trip is a blast.
Holy F'ing Sh#t! NOTHING? DID YOU REALLY SAY POITERS WAS BORING? The year is 732. The unstoppable tide of Muslim conquest is sweeping the entire world. Barbarians, Visigoths, even Franks tremble in fear. An overwhelming force of ravening Moorish cavalry attacks a much weaker force of Charles 'The Hammer' Martel's infantry and gets their a$$ handed to them. It stopped the conquest of Europe, and is a big reason we speak English today, not 'Allahu Akbar'. But hey, probably not important...
What a Rush Leave it to you Matt to nearly get beaten by the cops. And by the way, you look great in red, I should have had you wear that last year when we worked together.... Continue to have a blast, sounds like such a great time, but be safe. Zimm
countryside it does look really lush, guess you have to put up with the rain to get green foliage!
Hey I want to see pics of your faces as the bulls come towards you! Just snap away!
minuteman Hey Matt, Rick want to know if you will be running with the "minutemen" in Pamplona??? Yeah, You were with all of the Dutch on "The Route du Solei" with all of their trailers to the campgrounds in the south of France, The Costa del Sol, and the Algarve. They will sit in a campground for whole month, bake in the sun til they shrivel like raisins, smoke cigarettes and drink beer by the gallon. All else aside the Pyrianees are beautiful; just look out for those Basques. I've heard they like sheep. Vin
Seeing some great sites! Hi guys- glad to finally hear from you! Only 3 more days until we meet up!Be careful and see you in a few days! Love you both, mom
Local brews Hey Matt, You've got to try the Belgian beers. You will see the superior quality over the German stuff. Try them in a local "Brown Cafe" in any Amsterdam neighborhood. Walk through the "Jordaan" neighborhood and enjoy any of the bars or "eetcafe's" through the cobbled streets. They are all good and reasonably priced. For a qiuck snack go to the "FEBO" and order a "patatje oorlog""Fries War Style". It is basically french fries with mayonaisse and spicy indonesian peanut sauce and onions...Awesome Or, a croquette out of one of the doors in the wall that you put money into. They are fresh and very good. Also, while we are on the subject of food try the Shoarma at one of the many cafe's that look like they are run by middle-eastern looking people. It is a pita with freshly cut meat off of the rotisserie with garlic sauce. Cheap and good. Anything goes in Amsterdam; so be adventurous. Vinnie
