Friday, June 04, 2010 – Summary: Flight to Alaska with layover in Denver (Hard Rock Café opportunity) Baltimore (BWI) to Denver (Denver Intl.) 06/04/10 10:10 AM - 12:19 PM US Airways 6317/ by UNITED Denver (Denver Intl.) to Fairbanks (Fairbanks Intl.) 06/04/10 6:15 PM - 9:42 PM Frontier Airlines 641 Since we had a long layover, we took an airport shuttle to downtown Denver and checked out the city. It was really nice. We had lunch at Arby’s, checked out the Hard Rock Café (Dad was a good sport) and purchased HRC merchandise, saw the US Mint (from the outside) and more. Today Anthony and I went to Washington, DC. It was a beautiful day to spend outside with a friend. I picked Anthony up at the airport. His flight was right-on-time, you gotta love Southwest Airlines! We drove straight to DC and found parking, well after a few u-turns. Then we were off by foot. Our first stop was to pick up a new pair of pants for Antman. He ripped his getting off the plane and, while you couldn’t see the tear, he said it was a bit drafty. We parked near china town and it smelled so good for 11 in the morning. We walked 7 or so blocks from our parking area to the National Mall. We stopped for pictures along the way, using the code word “strawberry shortcake” when we wanted to stop. ... read more

August 22, 2007 - Right now I’m sitting at the SWA gate B2 waiting for my plane to Chicago. It is now 10am and my flight doesn’t leave until 11:40am. I’m excited about seeing Terina and Anthony again. My flight was a little late but I finally made it to Chicago around 2pm EST (1pm Chicago time). We met Anthony at his apartment then went to The Dark Horse for dinner and drinks. We started with artichoke dip that was fabulous. I got to meet Terina’s wonderful friends, Patty, Deborah, Heather, Dave and Kim. Dinner was nice but the conversation was better. I know we are going to have a great time together on this trip. Heather decided to keep a travel journal in the style of Jonathan Harker and as I drive to JFK, I can only hope my journey is half as interesting. Saturday, April 27, 2002 We (Brian and Michele) woke up bright and early (4:30 AM) to get on the road south to Vacation. Fripp Island, South Carolina was our destination and it was only 11 hours away! We had packed up the truck the night before to help ease the pain of the early morning start. We only stopped a couple times. During the trip it was cool to check out the “South of the Border” bill boards. We arrived at “Parks Place” condo at around 5:00 PM and unpacked the groceries and clothes from the truck. After we put them away, Brian showed me around the place. My First trip across the big blue ocean and my first (of many) stamps in my passport. London, England 1999 Thursday, February 18, 1999. It is hard to believe that only a week ago I had no plans to go to Europe and for that matter, I didn’t even have a passport. But after some super saver emails, trips to the post office and some quick packing, here we are. Deanne and I boarded the plane around 8ish EST. Our in flight food and entertainment was nice. We had pasta with cheese and sausage for dinner but they showed Simon Birch as the dinner time movie. Ever seen it? It is extremely sad.
