Not a Tiger Snake I came across this image while researching the population of Tiger Snakes that occurs in Carnarvon Gorge. The snake in your photo isn't even a venomous snake - it's just a harmless Black-headed Python. Tiger Snakes are typically about a quarter of the size of this and don't occur in the dry, hot areas in the Bowen Basin.
Gem Fever Loved the photos especially the very friendly cow and Lil doing her yoga.
Looks like you have been to a lot of the places we went too before heading to Cairns.
Did you do any good in the diggings?
Not well enough I didn't do much digging, far too much hard work on the back and shoulder but Dave got enough to keep him interested. Apart from 12 sapphires, he got quite a few zircons. But there is no need to rush to the bank and change our lifestyle. Not that we'd want too. LOL.
More amazing photos and tales to tell. I think you should put it all together in a book. Your pics and descriptions and Dave's ballads.... Glad you are having fun. Beats working!!!!!! Love Rob & deb
German Backpackers Enjoying your comments/pics around the German Backpackers, from a social impact view of course. It is important for us to fully understand the species before they die out.
Jealous Had a read of your travels so far...I'm feeling very jealous, we are just not settling since getting home last August. Can't beat life on the road, hope to get away again in the not too distant future. Keep safe xo
Lazy Dayz :) Sorry I got distracted by the German backpacker was he dirty and needed cleaning or were you hot and needed hosing down either way thank you for the visual.
Do you have a business card I may need a handyman. Keep on Truckin !!!!
Been on the road since 10.11.2010. We still call Newcastle (NSW) home as that's where most of our family and friends are. In reality home is our Opalite caravan 24ft, and our Ford Ranger (hence the name Lonie Rangers). Our car is the Silver Bullet from the Lone Ranger, put this together with Dave's surname being Lonie, and there our title was created.
I'd say we travel at a snails pace, there is no rush, we have the rest of our lives. However, going slow allows us to experience each place and move when we're ready for the next adventure.
We do a fair bit of independent camping in the bus... full info
