One year on!! Wow, hadn't realised that it was over a year since you first embarked on your epic journey....conquering a few of your own 'Everests' along the way. Your blog is very entertaining. The picture you paint souds idyllic! We wish we could join you. Hope to catch up weith the lonie rangers real soon. (very clever btw!!) Love Roberto and Deborah, soon to be on holidays, Beech xxxx
Moooo !! Love the blogs Dave and even the happy snaps !
You are teaching me more about Australian History than what I learnt at school thank you Professor Lonie keep up the great blogs. xo
Noosa Well you know how to string a few words together Dave! Must have been those uni assignments or are you just a natural? How good does that sunshine & water look?? I hope you managed to have a dip in that glorious water and not let the dogs have all the fun. Little known is that Noosa is owned by the state of Victoria...All the older moneyed up Vics have made it there home away from home in recent years! I remember visiting 25 years ago, far more natural & relaxed than now. Beach is still great though.
Hey talking of "big things" is there a "Big Esky"? Just a thought.
Can't see much in a few hours. You would need a bit of time there to feel your way around Gary, the old Noosa you remember is probably still there but hidden under the newer tourism growth. I should have had a swim because the water temp around the Sunshine Coast beaches is nudging 23 degrees. And yeah, a big esky would be a great find. Thanks for the feedback. Dave.
Impressed With my knowledge of computers, I find this very clever David. Well written and certainly interesting. Well done. Love all the photos. Most of all I love that you are both obviously very content. Happy blogging.
good stuff - happy to read & see David,
I have enjoyed your blog about your day trip.
Keep them coming as it makes me feel like I am going on the journey with you – better that I read about it or you might find me in the back seat of your car one day and I might be hard to remove!
Pauline
p.s. your photos are great - o.k. you may not have the skills of your lovely woman but I am going to enjoy seeing your journey through your eyes as well!
Been on the road since 10.11.2010. We still call Newcastle (NSW) home as that's where most of our family and friends are. In reality home is our Opalite caravan 24ft, and our Ford Ranger (hence the name Lonie Rangers). Our car is the Silver Bullet from the Lone Ranger, put this together with Dave's surname being Lonie, and there our title was created.
I'd say we travel at a snails pace, there is no rush, we have the rest of our lives. However, going slow allows us to experience each place and move when we're ready for the next adventure.
We do a fair bit of independent camping in the bus... full info
