We fled the big chill of free camping and came into town for the luxury of heating. Ah the electric blanket was bliss. I love charming country towns and Walcha is one such town.

Each room in the old pub have been made into private dining areas with velvet curtains separating them. All in keeping with the period.

This is the fellow (and his dog Sally) who bought the pub with his wife. His wife manages inside and he creates metal art.

He rather loves this piece. Created from old star pickets bent and welded to shape.

Only a 20km drive from Walcha are these awesome falls with many walks.

Walcha Caravan Park has a great camp kitchen with a slow combustion fireplace. A nice place for a nightcap.
