We are a group of lads from Linlithgow and Aberdeen who follow The Famous Glasgow Rangers Football Team within Scotland as well as all over Europe from Slovakia to Sunny Spain, France to Portugal and beyond. This won't really be a blog as the cricket one was but more of a picture postcard of our trips to follow our great team. However what I can say is that The Linlithgow Loyal are planning our next trip to Portugal in the next few days. One part of the team leave on Tuesday the 8th April and fly to London Luton for an [View Full Entry]

Match Ticket

This trip was early in November. The Aberdeen guys went through Amsterdam then onto Vienna. They then had a short bus trip over the border to Slovakia where they hooked up with The Lithgae Lads who had taken the a flight from Edinburgh to Pargue where they stayed overnight. They then took the train into Bratislava the following morning. This was our first venture into Eastern Europe where we found it very hard to spend our money with beer being 40p a pint!! Another trip from Edinburgh to Paris direct and a stop over in Birmingham to Paris for the Aberdeen boys. After our trip to Villareal we decided to base ourselves in Paris as we felt there would be more to do instead of Auxerre. This proved to be the correct decision. We had organised buses to take us on the 3 hour journey to Auxerre and back and to say the journey was eventful was a huge understatement! However we made it to Paris late on the Thursday night where we had a great time until the Saturday. [View Full Entry]

This was probably our most famous picture. This piccie made the back page of "El Mundio" which is Spain's equivalent to "The Sun" in the UK. Fame at last.
Probably our most entertaining trip we have encountered!! We flew out of Aberdeen and Edinburgh where we all met up in Amsterdam. We then travelled onto Barcelona on a KLM flight where after a short taxi ride we jumped on a train for a 3 hour journey south to our destination of Castelon which is the nearest town to the Spanish Football Team Villareal. However after only one hour on the train we were met by the local Police at a station in the middle of nowhere where we were taken off the train due to too much noise!! Incredible. This destination was reached in various ways. The Aberdeen guys flew via Paris then onto Barcelona. Some of the Lithgae boys went from Edinburgh via Paris where they hooked up with the Aberdeen guys. While some others went from Edinburgh for an overnight in Berlin then Easyjet to Barcelona from Germany. Our Malta Loyal flew in Direct from Valleta to Girona and then a train journey into the centre of Barcelona. [View Full Entry]

Now that was a trip and a half! The Lithgae Boys travelled Easyjet from Edinburgh to Lisbon Via an overnight stay in Luton while the Aberdeen Boys went Air France via Paris to Lisbon. We all met up at the Hotel in the early afternoon but only after the Lithgae Boys went down the coast a bit to pick up the match tickets from a Portuguese contact we sourced through Mike. We got showered and changed and headed out to the Marina area for a few hours and then thereafter to the centre of Lisbon where we were met by thousands [View Full Entry]

Making History!! Well these trips are coming thick and fast. To this end we didn't have many on this trip, however they all told me they were saving for Manchester!! How right were they?? As ever things went well and with the addition of Sunshine for the duration, that was a huge bonus. We ended up at Ex Rangers' Captain Lorenzo Amoruso's restaurant where the great man graced us with his presence on both days we were there. He took time out to talk with all the fans who had made the trip and was more than happy to have his picture taken [View Full Entry]

UEFA CUP FINAL 2008 GLASGOW RANGERS V ZENIT ST PETERSBURG Things got off to a very bad start when Liam and Brooksie who headed to Manchester from Aberdeen at 8am hit the central reservation near Lockerbie and wrote off their car!! After the usual Police involvement they were kindly driven to Lockerbie where they jumped a train to Carlisle and then from there they hired a car to take them to Manchester. A great effort after such a very scary experience. The main party hooked up at Linlithgow Station at 7am to take a train to Edinburgh that would route them [View Full Entry]
