I arrived back in Accra today after a wonderful week in Egypt with Rob. As we already posted, our first 4 days were spent in Sharm El Sheikh on the beach, after which we flew to Cairo. The majority of our time at the resort was spent lounging and snorkelling - very relaxing. Cairo was the exact opposite in every way. It is busy, fast-paced, and noisy 24 hours a day. We stayed in a hotel downtown which overlooked the Nile, and was walking distance from many of the sights such as the Egyptian Museum. On our first day we took a trip to the Islamic section to go the the Khan el-Khalili market, one of the oldest markets in the world.
