Well its day 5 and im nearly half way through already and that dawned on me today, I already dont want to leave just yet ! I beat the alarm clock this morning ( took it easy on the cocktails last night ) and got up to see if I could get some nice shots of the beach at sunrise. Only problem was it was overcast so that pretty much shat on that idea. As I was up i decided to take a quick walk along it anyway and then returned for some brekkie. Pancakes and fresh fruit sounded perfect and it was followed up with another Cambodian coffee. I had asked about the boat tours to the islands and was told they are all day tours which wouldnt have given me any time to look ... read more

Not such an early rise this morning, I met up with Dad and Thida for coffee and breakfast ( Cambodian coffee is delicious by the way ) and talked about my plans while in PP. ( I also bought 40 fags and 4 cold drinks and that cost less than 3 quid and we pay how much back home !!) Now ... read more

So Day 3 was supposed to be an early start ... you know I said I was going to have an early one well that didnt happen and I did bump into the guys I met in the taxi crossing. Needless to say after several bars and several buckets of Mekong whiskey I missed the alarm call. How my eyes opened at 7 am is still a wonder, 2 hours late for my trip to Angkor Wat and still a little pissed. Cold shower and a forced breakfast sorted me out pretty quickly and by 8 I was on a tuk tuk to the Temple. What can I say Angkor Wat is amazing really amazing and its no surprise its one of the wonders of the world. Its huge and something you cant and wouldnt want ... read more

After a pretty good nights kip last night at my hotel in Bangkok I was woken by the phone at 530am ready for my 6 oclock pick up back to the Bus Station and Day 2 of the tour. The bus station was 10 minutes away so when i got there I grabbed a coffee in a cafe and asked directions for buying a ticket, thankfully the lady that served me spoke pretty good english and after walking past it a couple of times I finally managed to get myself a coach ticket to the border at Aran for less than 4 quid. Air conditioning and free drink of water and Taro bun thrown in ....excellent no issue here. Roughly 4 hours later Im dropped off at a bustling market along side the Thai side border ... read more

Well here goes my first entry. After a pretty non eventful flight from London with Ethiad, it landed in Abu Dhabi late which gave me nearly no time to get through the airport and security to catch my ajoining flight to Bangkok. I did manage to get a fag sneaked in though and was pretty relieved and then pissed off when I got on the nearly full plane and the flight attendent announced we would be late on this flight too as we were waiting for another 20 passengers from my previous late flight .....I could have had another fag ! probably best really as I nearly passed out from inhaling it so quickly in the glass coffin they called the smoking room. I am pretty sure they thought I was pissed when I walked out, ... read more
