Interesting and amusing adventures Well Jason some of these place names are a strange combination of consonants God knows how they're pronounced! If you want to be somewhere different I guess you're there! So funny reading with zees in the place of the wyes (ha ha). Ski-ing in the Alps sounds like the greatest thing around ---wish your dad had been there. A bit sticky in the coming and going but nothing like bumming a ride if you're stuck.
Yeah, you're your own boss now -- nothing like it --no one to please but yourself -- only take care.
Enjoy Munich and Italy when it comes around. N
Ah ha! Wow Jason. I can't imagine living through what those people must have.
But nor can I imagine touring it! It sounds as though you are really enjoying it.
Did you take a picture of the place where the Archduke got shot?
Okay the chocolate bread; so not what I was picturing when you were calling it chocolate bread. I thought it was like whole wheat bread only chocolate - not that there was chocolate IN the bread!
Your blog was totally readable. I wouldn't worry about it.
I wonder if you guys found a flight after?
Bosnia & Hercegovina Hi boys!
Don't worry about the typos or sentence construction -- we all love to read your commentary --very educational actually -- little bit of drama when you don't know where your digs are at (ha ha) . Your description is not like the mental picture I had of the region -- pictured a very austere, closely guarded area with authoritarian approach to tourists --dead wrong! Transportation is surprisingly cheap.
Take care, N.
Chocolate Bread Hey!
Did you really get chocolate bread? What does chocolate bread look and taste like? I don't think I believe in chocolate bread!
Okay.... seriously; I watched Taken this weekend - so when you said that you shared a cab it creeped me out :P
Latest entry Hi Jason:
This is VERY interesting reading -- your travelling mode is upped a tad with your motor scooters -- sounds like fabulous fun -- most unusual things to do and see -- you lucky guys. Take care, N
YAY scooters!! Jason,
Sounds awesome! What a unique place to visit and unforgettable experiences I'm sure. Would love to be there!!
Just one question - did you manage to stay upright on the scooter the WHOLE time??? too funny.
Take good care. I'm reading!
Susanne
Wow...so exciting! Hey Jason....just started reading your blog! I think you do more travelling than anyone I have ever met! I am jealous! Sounds like you are having the experience of a lifetime! I really can't wait to see your pics when you get home! And hey...maybe a word of advice for the train trip back...why not save a bottle?? Me thinks it would be a hell of alot more sanitary, and no worries about toddling off from side to side...lol
Look forward to reading your next entry!
Lori
Jelena Hello Jason:
Interesting reading -- nothing like having friends in high places, eh?- -- quite the load of your shoulders and they KNOW the good places to eat. Every day a different scene --you're having a good time! Take care, bye to both, N
Hello Hi Jason, I found your blog site from Facebook and its great to read about your trip., what a well travelled young man you are, and how lucky!!!!! I hope you and Jeff have a great holiday, I will check your site regularly. Take care of yourselves, Helen Ryan
Great stories! Thanks Jason so much for your awesome blog. I'm laughing my head off over here at some of your stories especially the one about you and Colin breaking the bed and you almost selling Addy at the bus stop. Keep having fun!
Adventures abound Dude, sounds like you guys are having a "great" time, tell Erin I'm glad her things finally showed up, I lost stuff here in Canada for 2 weeks coming from vancouver to NS? How does that happen? Anyways, can't believe the adventures you're having. Military, bugs, beer, gambling... Can you take Harvey home? Probably won't call as leaving Friday night for AB/BC for two weeks and besides which the charges are on the order of an arm, or leg, or my first born and I can't afford those prices.
Take care of each other, and can't wait to see how this African diet works out:P

easy on the cow We do not need to buy much milk right now.(ha, ha). Glad things are going well. Before you know you will be back and it will all be a memory. so enjoy!

Souvenirs I just remembered i forgot to ask if you can look for a few sm. items. Tanzanite stones are mined in Tanzania so if you see any in a store in Mwanza. Also coffee beans. I would love a broach or 2. They are sm. and mangageable. Helen Monnier said she would die to have an elephant broach or bracelet with the trunk full out.

Poor Puppies!! How Sad!! :(
Wow Jason, Better you then me is all I can say! :p. Just kidding, I'm sure you're having a pretty big life changing experience and are going to come away from this with a whole different perspective on a lot of things! What time is a good time for me to phone?? By the sounds of it probably really late at night/early morning?
Normally I would keep telling you to take lots of pictures but since I don't want you to be taken away to an african army camp, please don't :)
Take care! Be careful!!!
omg Oh My God! You have no luck...I would freak out! Do you exist again yet? scary! glad you're having a good time though...keep your hands on the emergency passport...wouldn't want to go through it again! I'm making Danny get a money belt now :P
hey! Hey Jase! Glad to hear you arrived alive! I completley agree with your "do as the londoners do" comment...just make sure you don't pick up anything for anyone like last time :P See you soon!
wow! I totally didn't realize it was this soon!! When are you getting back? I may not see you when I'm home! But that's o.k., I just found out today that work is sending me to a CMOS conference in St. John's at the end of may...so I'll see you then :)
Have a blast and take lots of pics!!
