Lion in tree
I must say, I would have to see a lion climbing up a tree and staying there with my own 2 eyes to believe this. Cheetahs and Leopards are the tree climbers/sleepers.

Namuwongo Market
Hi Mike, Thanks for sharing with the world. I would, however, like to disagree with you on the Namuwongo Market picture. That picture was taken in Soweto on a market day which spreads up to Namuwongo and not Namuwongo. I was actually expecting to see a picture of the fresh foods market. The garbage seen there is from Namuwongo.

Hi Mike, I just came across your travel blog while googling 'Ethiopian avocado juice'....having just come back from there and trying to find a name for the avocado cocktails (non-alcohol) they had there - Sprees! I loved what you wrote on your blog...this was my first trip to the continent and I already experienced much of the lovely 'africanism' you mentioned. Great stuff...next time somebody mentiones they are going to visit Ethiopia or the African continent I am recommending your blog.

swimming
Not sure I would want to swim in the delta... too many crocs and hippos. there probably are a few places where it is safe, but not generally. good luck.
