Exploring the seven seas, little by little!
I am a law school student who loves traveling and exploring new cultures. When I was younger I used to travel with my parents and the have taken me to almost every continent in the world. Even though I have been to many countries there are many places left to visit and explore. I have taken over the baton from my parents. It's not moving in a great phase but at least it is moving and little by little I add another piece to my puzzle of this world.

I have been really bad at updating my travel blog. after leaving Byron Bay in mid december 2008 I came in to Sydney just before Christmas. While in Sydney I got to stay with friends and family and We had New Years in Sydney on Hunters Hill. I spent a bit of time in Sydney before taking of to Melbourne with a girls from London whom I met in Cairns while scuba diving. pretty cool. Well we decided to rent a mini van and drive along the Great Ocean Road. Recommending that. I doesn't take more than a few days and you can finish up your trip in the Grampians National park which is way better than the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney. Along the great ocean road you will see the 12 apostles which are ... read more

The day we were to leave Surfers Paradise we re booked our ticket and left earlier than planned! After a few hours ( and then the time difference) we came down to Byron bay! Pretty cool, and relaxed place. We had heard about a hostel that you just have to stay in if your in Byron Bay, called Art's Factory. Im happy we did it because i can see why it's so likeable. It's about a ten minutes walk from the actuall town center and it takes you to a pretty big hostel that has a pool a little caffee a shop, good meal deals, a forest around it and just a very good atmosphere! Some people had stayed there for ages and worked and they just downt wanna go anywhere else. Our first night in ... read more

Surfers Paradise is about a 2 hour bus ride from Brisbane, maybe little bit less. Surfers itself is not much to see, they have some nice shopping and heaps of bars. I think we were there at the end of schoolies (when aussies quit school they go party as almost everywere else) anyways we stayed at a hostel a bit away from town it was alright but u had to catch the bus into the actuall center of town. Though I do not understand why it would be called surfers paradise? It was just too much and we got disapointed even though we did get told that surfers paradise wouldn't be more than a sign. Some people might disagree but this is just what I thought. Well so we did get a picture of the sign ... read more

Brisbane is a funky town. Got there 5 hours after leaving Rainbow Beach with a tear in our eye, seeing our friend Anita healed the wound for a few days! We got there and litteraly just walked across the street and checked in to the nearest hostel TinBilly's, since Anita was staying there. (even if she wouldn't taht would probably have been our choice anyways since it's so close to the transit center) We spent 3 nights in Brisbane, but I think I could have stayed longer if we would have applied for jobs and such. TinBilly's has a pretty cool bar but watch out for locals, they don't mind staring!!! First night we did some catching up with another friend from our boat in Cairns, Graham and we got to meet the girls he's been ... read more

After going to Fraser Island we had a dolphin kayaking but we only had one day left to stay and rainbow beach is a really really tiny place and we really didn't care for staying there anylonger than we had to! So instead of going kayaking they took us for a surf in the mad weather but it was wicked fun and we ended up landing a job for the surf shop/school for maybe a few weeks. First week was quite boring since we're both city girls and I don't know I guess you just have to get into it. There is no stress, just chilling. We ended up spending our days like this: wake up with the sun and go for a really early surf since that's 9 out of 10 times the best time ... read more

We left Airlie Beach the 11th of November to take the local bus to Proserpine and then to get on the Greyhound bus which would take us to Rainbow beach. It was a long ride and we arrived in Harvey Bay on the 12th in the morning around 7am. Had to wait for an hour and then jumped on the bus down to Rainbow beach through Tin Can Bay I think it's called. Anyways got here in the morning and stayed one night at a hostel called Dingo's pretty nice atmorphere and nice live music. Next day we checked out and moved in just next door to Pippie's, cuz we'd allready booked our Fraser Island tour with them. Had one day to kill in Rainbow beach before our trip. Rainbow Beach would probably not be anything ... read more

So after leaving Cairns last saturday we arived in this little town (although I'd more say it was a street) called Prosepine just nearby Airlie Beach. We got there at night and then we worked the day after. had to get up at 5 am and leave for work an hour later. and then we picked tomatoes for one day. I got sunstroke and got sick and Lisa pulled through but we decided it was just not woth it. and so we grabbed our stuff and the next day we were out of there. Jumped the next bus down to Airlie Beach and here we are. Stayed at a hostel and met up with our english pal from the plane, and some people from our cruise in Cairns, pretty amazing to meet up again. Meet alot ... read more

Just got back from 4 days at sea like an hour ago. We're now staying at another hostel, still in cairns. Can't seem to get out of this town it's crazy. We've been on a big boat called reef encounter for the last few days and we've been scuba diving. And that is the most wicked experience I've ever had I'd say. It's like beeing in a great akvarium and it never ends. you never stop being surprised. We got to do five dives on our pakage No School Scuba and the day started on another boat called Reef experience. We got served breakfast, and lunch and we went snorkelling. Around 1 o'clock we got transfered to the other boat and the diving adventure begun! First dive was only half an hour after getting on the ... read more

After about 30 hours or more of traveling we are finally in Aussie! We went from Copenhagen-London-Hong Kong-Brisbane-Cairns, horribly long flight but did the best out of it! Started travel on the 15th and got here on the 17th, so it's quite a journey! Anyways we met a nice guy from the UK, on the plane so we did have alot of fun. So we got to Cairns about 4 days ago! First day we both felt so miserable not getting anything to work but after a good nights sleep we sorted everything with a great guy at our hostel! Cairns is a very beautiful city not that big, but if you want to get a great deal going out to the great barrier reef this is a nice place to start. In a couple of ... read more
