Hard to believe so much has happened in just a year, but there ya go, we made it! Got up at 7 for breakfast, and predictably even in our teeny hotel we got lost trying to find the dining room - it was below ground level and quite reminiscent of the underground restaurants in Bath (think onefishtwofish) After a very good breakfast (can't go wrong with copious amounts of scrambled eggs first thing in the morning!) we (or possibly I) decided it was far too early and went back to sleep for a few more hours. My entry begins with a slightly unnecessary rant about sandwich fillings. Okay, so sandwich fillings might not be the most relevant subject matter for a travel blog, but believe me, after getting up at the crack of 5:30 after not much sleep and waiting around at Lewes station with a heck of a lot of luggage, the last thing I want is to buy my breakfast and find it chock full of ingredients that I a) don't like and b) didn't order. Have finally started to get a bit more organised for Mada... just over a week before I'm due to leave :S (hey, I'm a last-minute kinda gal) Got my insurance sorted (always important), booked a flight home from Paris (also kind of useful) and went shopping for today for anti-mosquito stuff and anti-sunburn stuff. So... This time in one month I will be on a plane bound for Madagascar. Actually, if we're being pedantic, this time in one month I will probably be asleep in my hotel room in Paris as the flight isn't till 4:30pm, but let's not get picky!
