Hey Doug. We're not at all jealous, but any chance of posting a piccie or two to make us really want to be there too? Ciao, mb

Phew
This all sounds like a daily marathon Doug. Amazing distances on a daily basis - well done. If I manage to get over this back operation appropriately you've inspired me to do something akin to this next year. Gambatte - as the Japanese say.

Great to Share your walk

Nettles etc
Wish I could be there too. Hope you haven't been (just a little) lost again...and the mozzies aren't too bothersome. How are your feet? I recall they were a bit sore at the start of your Camino.

It sounds like you're in the backyard. If you get lost again, walk to the fence, put your left hand on it. Now follow the fence until you get to the front of the house. If you ask a passerby for help they'll lead you up the garden path.

No thanks
Hi Doug, No you can keep your nettles and damp grass. We have quite enough dampness here in the UK. Hope you have a really good trip and look forward to seeing you here soon. Fiona

Oslo
Good to hear that you've made it safely and by now, you will have adjusted to local time and sun orientation. I hope you have good weather to help you on your way - but regardless it will be a great experience. Looking forward to further accounts and some pics if possible, please.

Thanks Doug
I finally found your travel blog, great explanation and work Doug. I have appreciated your intermediate updates. Have bumped into a Spaniard or two, who have also explained the significance of this pilgrimage. They have just commenced advertising the 2010 season for this pilgrimage here in NZ.

Burgos, ¡mi ciudad de la amistad!
¡Hola Doug! Sigo tu Camino. Has contado poco de Burgos. Sigue disfrutando. Que tengas un Buen Camino peregrino!! Obviously there are more than mental benefits to this walk of yours. I hope Elaine recognises you when you can get back. Leander is supposed to leave Sat but it is looking doubtful. Keep well in spirit and body. Pam
