Awesome!!!! I really like this post because we (I am travelling round the world for ten months with my mom) had to make the decision to go straight to go straight to phnom penh or take two bus journeys to ban lung and the cool volcano lake and then go to phnom penh. We have decided to go to the ban lung and the cool volcano lake! I am from Oxford. Thank you :) your post helped us make our decision.
HOMEY! Hey Mr. Ferguson, welcome back to the states! Glad to hear everything went smoothly and you are back home safe. I am jealous of your experience but I rather enjoyed checking your blog. I got to see all the cool things you saw, and for a lot cheaper! And with your video editing and documentary skills I expect your video will be even more rewarding. Don't know when I will be back in CA, but I will undoubtedly let you know when I am. Like, werd.
Yeah you know how much I love to copy trends, so the facebook pic was a must! And I was a little nervous around the nun, but she made cookies it appeared so I felt alright about her. And I am home! And excited!
oma i must say the plates of the jews, steel and shadown, and partial sunset pics blew my mind so smithereens. very well done. and look who got all "myspace" with one of their pics. hella gangsta nun too, where's her gat? excited to go home?
ok i get it so i post some so totally super awesome pics of reflections. then you think you to so totally super stump all of my shiz. ok well then, that's fine. i'm not even all jealous or nothing. where are my royalties for the perspective shots? i'll just forget about how sweet that 'more wall design' shot is, and call it even. done and done. if you post another cathedral picture, i'll get kim jong il to drop some bombs on spain. i'm not even jealous that you are going home in a week to see your loved ones. (like i even care about my loved ones...pffff)
wha'eva ugh...that leaf shot is so good. makes me sick just thinking about it. i also like the cathedral shots, but i forgot whether or not i was looking at the LAST 1000 of your pictures or if i was seeing something new. OHHHHHH. scalding burns to the face. somebody get the burn cream.
cool pics Love the photos, angles, lighting. Kam has reason to be jealous. You sound like a Bohemian writer with your French wine. Did you have a candle burning in a wine cask, as well?
Can't wait to see/hear the video. How tall are you now? Oh boy, can't wait to hug ya.
Spain sounds great. G Fran wants to get there asap.
me jealous? there's no way i'm jealous. why would i be jealous of all the super cool stuff to take pictures of. i wish i was there to take better ones than you.
guess who just saw the terracota warriors and the great wall? answer: not you.
Real domes in Cathedral? I assume the domes "inside the cathedral" are real and not painted?
Some great photos, kiddo, and an amazing birthday gift to have met the film director who is also passionate about Kubrick. I'm excited for you.
Happy Birthday.
ITALY! Oh man, this brings back such memories! Rome, the coliseum, Vatican City, Pompei, and Naples! WOW-EEE! Careful in Naples, it's a bit of a scary city, at least from my experience. Wish I was there! Have fun.
:P''' Deffinitly a sunrise ;)
It is good to hear from you and see your pics, it all looks so beautiful, and very different from here :) Hope you have a safe flight to Italy! Muah!
miss you ^_^~*

A fulfilling blog Thank you for all of your writing, wherever, however, whenever you do it. This blog, as your others, is a beaut. You're so good in saying so much and being succinct and poetic.
I began to tear up when I read your lines about setting up for lightning shots. Your dad has done that but I particularly remember a time in Texas at the ranch when he was so taken by the lightning and when he set up the camera on the back porch of the ranch house we stayed in. Anyhow, you brought back those memories and I appreciate your interest in photography. I love that all of you boys have an interest in recording your feelings about what you do and see, your insights developing and then your sharing with the rest of us. Thanks, kiddo.
I like your reference to Zeus in that dramatic photo. The coral is magnificent. That photo of Kam on the tree is so amazing. The two branches that stretch down could easily be interpreted as his legs (at least in my world). Don't you see it?
That cat! Curious style.
The story of the tree and the man who had children at an age that is older than usual, is beautiful. I loved reading it even though you'd already told me the story by phone.
City of fish, and growing anxiety over sharks. I love your descriptive narrative. Keep it comin' kiddo and keep on truckin'.
I'm glad you feel connected with a seemingly peaceful and open philosophy such as Buddhism.
I hope to now finish the copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance that Uncle Steve gave to me when I was in college. I made some notes when I first read it. Perhaps you would be interested in reading them.
I love you. Goodnight.
Hope I hope you boys will continue to help to service the world. As you know, you have family members who can offer tips about programs that can help you. Cross-cultural solutions (Finley-Neal family), Playing for Peace (cousin Josh) and cousins Josh and Adam have worked in the U.S. to help communities in need. The Peace Corps is another option. Mr. Peckler and his family worked for the Peace Corps (Mr. Peckler, vice principal, principal, soon to be in the district office). I wish you boys well on your journey to discover yourselves and the world. May you find peace within yourselves and help others find it. And remember that you are teaching the rest of us along the way.
Awesome photographs I'm repeating myself here but your photographs are awesome and I love your compositions. I laughed lots at "Kam explaining nuclear physics."
A-mazing! Yeah, all this stuff looks incredible and all, but how do you live so long without Geometry Wars?
P.S. Hope you had a spectacular New Years and holiday season. Keep on keepin on; your trip looks amazing!
Hissy fit I'm glad to know you can have those fits, just like your mom. (Remember Italy?) And, I'm glad you can be honest with yourself. Is the "Guess the shot" a reflection of the sun in some water through some plants? I love "this kid entertained us for a while." Dad and I checked out your route through Cambodia, quite a tour of the country. As I told Kam, I am glad you all have had the experience to see a culture, economy and the remains of a holocaust in a culture that is so different from your own; especially to learn how much need there is for us to stay abreast of the issues so we can help support positive change and growth.
Koala energy So what do they conserve their energy to do? Eat more?
I love that the architecture of the mall is artistic. So, that ceiling also is a source of daylight? Form and function?
I hope the sheep dog can be made clearer. I love that picture, as I do of all of your compositions.
Love.
kam the man tea tree oil is really good for you! you should put as much of it on your skin as possible immediately. just make sure it's a tea tree, otherwise i'm sure there's a number of ways you could kill yourself doing that.
see you soon man
Blown glass from Aust or NZ? Is that the blown glass you spoke about in NZ? Cool tram. That is the track throughout the city? Yes, an "interesting" figure inside the memorial. Which war? or war in general? A lot of religious icons over there in Sydney? More religious than NZ? The market reminds me of Fenuil Hall in Boston or Pike Place Market in Seattle. (See, I can brag about my travels, too.) I love you, danny boy. Never stop observin' and learnin' and writin'. You are a voice of cheer for the world. Thank you. (And, thanks for the "shout out." )
Fox' wear gloves? First of all, I didn't know that fox' wear gloves but who knows what mysterious creatures live in New Zealand. I guess all of you "Lord of the Rings" nuts speculate about such things.
(Here is where I throw my two-insignificant-cents in: the flowers are "foxgloves." I'm sure there were others out there, like myself, who were confused ... or not.)
Secondly, I presume New Zealand only cages animals that need medical care, or why would the owl and the kea and the tautura ... well, you know what I mean.
I love the perspective in your photos such as the one "And again" with the rock, the lake and the mountains that come to a "V." Right on to your photography, mister.
On the other hand, why didn't the parakeet (parakete?) stay still? Did you forget to cue it? Honestly!
I love you.
Yo' momma.
Hello Daniel!! wow I love your pics! Especialy the animals ^_^~*
That is awesome you got to go up to Mt. Doom!! And lots of wine mmmm....mmmm...mmmm......I encourage wine education and consumption!!!! :P'''

This is the official blog by me, Daniel Neal. All others claiming to be Daniel Neal are frauds and should be prosecuted in a court of law immediately! I will be travelling around Earth for the next 5 months from October 16th, 2007 to March 11th, 2008, with my friends Kamberly and Pauliwog (not exactly their real names). We will be travelling to Middle Earth for 2 months, aka New Zealand, which is actually closer to Antarctica than I was expecting so I will need to pack some warmer clothes. Australia for 2 weeks, where my aunt and uncle brought back one of the funnies... full info
