Did you say St Kilda Is that the same one that I'm sailing to in June ?? Naw ~ not if you two were lying around sunbathing @ 9:00 o'clock at night. I think the St Kilda that I'm sailing to will be the one with the penguin. That would be more like it knowing my luck.
Still looks like you two are having fun. Emm's probably right. You'll never come back. Still you're bound to be missing the hurricane winds and the lashing rain. Well, maybe a Balbir's curry then.
Have fun

Land of Oz wow, you were so lucky getting tickets to the open that sounds fab. I couldn't understand at first why you were finding it so dear but the exchange rate is much worse, when we were over it was 2.9 so that's quite a big difference. You're pictures are great, really looks like you're having a fab time!
Jet setters Hi Rachael, Im sure your mum will have a great time in Thailand, its great being able to do what you like without having to think about what you are spending cos its all so cheap. I am sure you and Cheryl will be jet setting yourselves soon enough, we had to wait until we were 50! ha. take care xxx
Lucky buggers Hi Marian, yeah i know what you mean, the thought of being back home at the moment does not appeal one bit, the only thing i miss is family and friends, esp miss our nights out with yourself, Carol and Jackie in Elliots. lol xxxx
Lucky buggers Hi Julie, you would love Oz, its so much more cosmopolitan than i imagined, they bars and restaurants are always full, i suppose having such great weather makes it easier to do that. Your right so far i have been vg at finding good value accom , the backpacker hostels are dearer that what we are paying and not nearly as nice, and to be honest not really our thing. lolxxx
No place like home Hi you two. Yeah my selling skills have been coming in useful, i have a talent for somehting it seems,ha. Oz if great, lots to see and do, you would love it. You like my Kipling bag, have to confess its a fakey i got it Thailand for about 2 quid. Love to all, miss yaxxx

re lucky buggers I don't think you lucky buggers will ever settle in Scotland again, after all your adventures this place will be too tame for you. Miss you and just loving the blogs keep up the good work. love marian xx

I'm dreaming of a White (Sandy Beach) Christmas Just like the ones we used to have. With corn on the cob glistening......oh yeah, just like Christmas on Prestwick Beach this year. The whole beach was packed with revellers dressed in Parka's and fur coats ~ fighting the bitter cold wind and the rain as well as the crashing waves. Apart from that life down at our beach was great ~ just exactly as you'd expect. Bet you wish you were there, don't you.
OK, maybe a slight exageration, but we still ate decent nosh. Emm and I did manage to pop into Lido for brunch. The latest (Troon) addition to the buzzworks empire. No bar meal specials as yet though on Wednesday nights Eileen. You and Emm will just have to sort that out when you come home.
As for our Hogmanay, not quite up to yours either. Personally I was missing Andalucia this year, but under the circumstances glad we never went. Watching Still Game on the telly was a poor substiute let me tell you.
Enjoy Australia ~ catch up with you two soon

Time flies Can't believe thats you finished this part of your trip already! Its looked really amazing, hope I can get Chris to go some day, I know he'd love it, tricky bit would be getting him to try some new eats! Hope you enjoy oz as much, just think of it as being about the sites rather than the accommodation, who needs sleep anyway! M x
Aloha Inn hello there!
i did stay there for my recent trip and aloha inn was incredibly terrific for that amount of price yes! still seems a mystery to me why not many people come and stay there.
and yes the boat trip was brilliant. who would ever thought about that??
NOTHING LIKE THAT HAPPENING HERE JOHN I WONT TRY AND ENTERTAIN YOU WITH MY DAY, SUFFICE TO SAY I WAS GLAD TO GET OUT. IT ALL SOUNDS GREAT APART FROM THE PEOPLE TRYING TO SELL YOU STUFF THAT IS . I GUESS THERE IS NOT MANY DULL MOMENTS AND THERE IS SO MUCH MORE YET TO DO. YOU ARE DOING A REALLY GOOD JOB WRITING ALL THIS UP, HAVE A GOOD NEW YEAR ENJOY THE 1ST. LOVE LILIAN
